Did Jesus really walk on water?

Is there a scientific explanation behind the miracle?
If you are a believer, how would this, if true, affect your faith? If you are not a believer, what does it prove?

I'm incredibly disappointed that you would post this item. It is so blatantly false and just plain silly that it doesn't deserve the attention it's receiving.

Is the rest of the account in Matthew just totally invented?

There's no reason to believe the claims of any "miracles" in the Bible, let alone "explain" them. You have to wonder about folks who put so much store by miracles. I'm reminded of a kid who tried to "save my soul" once when I was a bag boy at a local grocery store. He kept talking abou how heaven was "paved with gold." I said "Why should I care?" I guess different people find different things worthy of their attention...

The real problem that people have with miracles is that it implies a supernatural being, and a moral authority beyond thier own mind and will. The spiritual dimension is NOT directly observable and dissectable by natural faculties. It seems that the absence of faith in materialists impels them to find naturalisitc explanations about biblical miracles, because, from their perspective, they just couldn't have happened. Understandably there is also much insipid curiosity and flagrant abuse of supposed miraculous events. But the biblical miracles are simply the normal intervention of the Creator in the affairs of an otherwise orderly and predictable universe - when and where he so wills.

I'll bet Nikos doesn't even realize the moral implications of this concept. If he did, he might not continue to be such a fan of his God...
