Train up a child
"Jackson agreed when they divorced to pay his ex-wife $1 million a year for the first three years after their split and $750,000 annually for six more years. Rowe also received a house in Beverly Hills and a 1998 Ford Explorer. She agreed to visit her children only once every 45 days, according to the lawsuit."

Do we really? Who had the power in that marriage -- do you know that? Who had the better lawyers, and the stronger position in the divorce proceedings? I'm pretty sure I wasn't in the room when the agreement was set up. I really don't think there's any call to judge anyone's motives based on this sort of information... do you?
That being said, from what little I've seen of Mr. Jackson's parenting ablilty, I'd have to guess the kids in his household won't have the best start in life that one might hope for. It's just a guess, after all.

True...it's just that I couldn't imagine agreeing not to see my child but once every 45 days. Maybe the list of all the material things she got in exchange for doing it colored my response.

I'll guarentee this: these kids of the Jacksons -- all of them -- will grow up in a world far removed from the one you and I inhabit. Unless something goes unimaginably wrong, they'll be as far removed from what we consider "normal" as we are from peasants in Somalia.
