Wrong strategy?
Instead of asking for the removal of the cross, should other faith/spiritual/religious groups demand equal access for their idols, symbols, etc?

I always find it most upsetting that our government spends any resources to protect and defend things that really should be purely private sector business. I rather think they ought to pay attention to things that make life/death differences to the nation and stick with that work until they're resolved before worrying about whether a particular cross or church or whatever stays or goes.

When erected, it may have been a "non-problem." However, in the times in which we live, it is a problem. Therefore, I see no problen in removing the larger "icon" and replacing it with something on a smaller scale. Yet, remembering the Separation Clause, and still recognizing those of Christian faith who did serve and die in service of their country.
Yet, Eric is on target regarding addressing more important/imposing issues rather than those such as this!
