I agree with what the resolution says to a high degree, but I think that calling for total religious freedom can lead to problems. The extremists that attacked our country 5 years ago were exercising their religion, as are the polygamist, child-marrying Mormon extremists in Utah and Arizona, gay-murdering thugs in Wyoming, and any number of other groups that nearly all would agree are criminals.
There must be limits that the whole country can agree on, otherwise, this "freedom" would lead to chaos. Just a thought from a non-participant in the religious marketplace. :-]

I think that Jefferson's ideas in this matter are the most reasonable. I agree completely with him when he said:
"The declaration that religious faith shall be unpunished does not give impunity to criminal acts, dictated by religious error."
