Merry Christmas and "It's cookie time"
I was in church on Christmas Eve and amid the chorus of 'Merry Christmas' I was handed a flyer noting it's Girl Scout cookie time -- with a full roster of each cookie and the per box price. Which leads me to the question: What is or isn't appropriate in a house of worship?
I mean, you've got a captive audience.
Should there be an ATM in the foyer?
A coffee bar?
Is such simply merging spirituality with real life?

It does sound a little "money-changers-in-the-temple"-esqe, doesn't it?
I know that scout leaders have a constant struggle to raise funds, but it would probably help them to develop a little sense of decorum.

I don't know, I know the pastor I had growing up would have appreciated a few cookies in the collection plate.

An ATM is just a little too much for my tastes.

LOL! Yeah, I think I knew a couple of pastors who might have enjoyed that as well. 8)
