AirTran was perfectly correct. The permissive, coddling approach to child rearing in recent decades has produced a crop of brats - of all ages. We don't know all the background in this case, but there does come a tipping point where businesses have the right and responsibility to remove unruly elements, be they munchkins or mandmen.

It's a shame that this happened, but it really sounds from the story like the crew went out of their way to allow the parents to straighten out their problem. And the company did its best to make amends. They really didn't have to do that.
I recently had a minor tiff with my favorite airline, and nearly walked away after 7 years as a customer. They did their best to make things right and I respected them for that, and stayed with them.
So in a lot of respects, I agree with Nikos here. These parents were asking an awful lot, it seems like. Makes one wonder.
