This just in....

"Hey," reads the email from Eric. "I got me one of those new $1 coins from the bank today. Interesting thing... the date of issue, and both mottoes (old and "new") are hidden away from normal view on the rim. Since "In God We Trust" isn't on the normal surfaces where folks look to see stuff, I wonder if anyone will complain that these coins are "Godless?"

Good Grief!
Which god, whose god, what god are we talking about?
So many gods to choose from: contemporary gods, Chinese gods, Norse gods, past gods, present gods, future gods, Greek gods, Roman gods, African gods, Jananese gods, Egyptian gods, and on and on and on . . . . not to even mention a goddess or two . . . almost no limit to the absurdities dreamed up by mankind.

I'm certain they'll complain we're heading in that direction.

There are much more grievous indicators that coin wording. It's a bit dissappointing, but I won't lose any sleep over it.

Oh ...... It's agood thing the self-attesting, self-revealing God of the Bible is around. All those false gods amount to less than nothing, precisely because they were invented in the imagination of man.
So discuss! Deny, defend with all the rationality you can muster. But if “rational” means that it must agree with YOUR presuppositions, we certainly cannot have a reasonable discussion. If it means setting forth each or our views and debating them, I’m game. But little ad hominem blurbs are so so cop-out.

Romans 2:

22: Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23: And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24: Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Heh. Looks like I was right... it seems that there are already some e-mail chain letters out there on this subject. For my next trick, I'll go outside and look for my shadow.

I think I'll go up to bed. This one's a bit edgy for me.
