Why is this surprising? There is no shortage of people who are still living in the grip of xenophobia. Terror management efforts are far from being a priority for most people, and certainly the government finds a terrified citizenry a convenient thing to have around.

It seems that the folks in charge of this class either agreed with this speaker's message, or didn't take the time to research him properly. It'll be interesting to see how this story runs its course.

The course it will run is exactly what Muslims have come to expect: a freedom-minded America that nowadays has nary a clue as to what the consequences of false religion are in a society. Every off-beat, weirdo religious group, from Wicca to Scientology, wants their piece of the naïve American pie.

I think Solomon was terribly ill-advised to go to the school and voice his strong message. And I cannot affirm all of it without knowing exactly what he thinks and said. However, the end game was highly predictable: a frontal attack by Muslim activist groups, who spring into action whenever there is any opposition that would tend to slow their march to national hegemony. Other venues besides government schools are much to be preferred anyway: churches, public meeting places, radio – anywhere but a temple of Humanism, which brooks no rivals to its atheistic, secularized dogma.

His web site says: “Kamil International Ministries Organization is dedicated to teaching the truth about Islam. We love Muslims but we believe that Islam is not a Divine faith, Muhammad was not a prophet from God and the Koran is not the Word of God.”

I fully agree with the basic statements of this intro blurb. But it sounds like he was not gifted with a great deal of tact, or ability to convey his message with respect and equanimity. He could have expressed his opinions without telling anyone to “shun” another person, whatever he meant by this word in context. If his goal was to share the Gospel, how could it be done while shunning someone.

Well, I wasn’t there, but it sounds like his presentation could have been done with much greater finesse and intelligence. Sounds like: wrong style, wrong place. But I agree with his message that Islam is a grave danger to our nation and way of life. It is only so because we have abandoned true biblical Christianity in favor of spiritual ignorance and unbelief. He is also right that Christians are being persecuted viciously in Muslim countries - and we really think this diabolical “religion” has a place in any free and benevolent soc
