I think I did pretty well. 30 points. Didn't get the question about the four truths of Buddhism (though I did know the first one) or the 7 sacraments from Catholicism. Other than that, I'm pretty literate...

39 here. I also, don't know much about Buddhism or Catholicism. In addition, I would have been in trouble if I had to give more than one of the Hindus sacred books. I memorize a lot of passages from the Bible, so those were no problem. I spend much more time on Christianity than learning what beliefs are taught in other religions.

Oh woe is me !
I didn't get a single question correct - this stuff makes no more sense to me than the algebra I repeatedly failed in high school.
In view of my dismal failure I thought I'd brush up by doing some bible study but only came up with more questions:
# 1
Leviticus 1:9 . . .
In order to create a pleasing odor for the Lord I burned a sacrifical bull on my backyard altar. My neighbors complained and said the odor was not pleasing to them. Should I smite my neighbors?
# 2
Exodus 35:2 . . .
My son-in-law persists in working on the Sabbath. This passage clearly states that he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
# 2
Leviticus 15:19. . .
I know that I'm not allowed contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstruation but how I do I know when this is? I tried asking the cashier at Food Lion but she seemed to take offense.
# 3
Leviticus 19:27. . .
Although expressily forbidden, many guys at work get their hair cut and some even trim their mustaches and beards. Am I obliged to smite my workmates?
# 4
Leviticus 11:6 . . .
A. I see touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but if I wear gloves will it be OK to pitch the football with my grandsons?
B. Every Friday nite after work my brings home Bar-B-Q and sweet tea. How do I put a stop to this ungodly practice?
# 5
Leviticus 11:10 . . .
On of my workmates feels that even though eating oysters and clams is an abomination it is a lessor abomination than homosexuality. Are their "degrees" of abominations?
# 6
Leviticus 25:44 . . .
I see that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. One of my workmates claims this applies to Mexicans but not Canadians. I think he's wrong. Why can't I own Canadians?
# 7
Exodus 21:7 . . .
I am considering selling my daughter into slavery. In this day and age what might be a fair price for her?
# 8
Genesis 8:1 . . .
After the great flood was over where did all the water go?

Another question that interests me: If we're made from dust, why is there still dust?
Posted on March 20, 2007 1:06 PM
Ludicrous questions that show no real understnding of interpretative principles. Just a transparent effort to twist and misrepresent the Scriptures to vent hostility to God, His Word and His Messiah.

Actually, Nikos, those questions are ludicrous because they show how silly a literalist view of the Bible is. Hadn't you noticed?
Posted on March 21, 2007 5:39 AM
Actually, i noticed that the Scripture is so true which says; "The fool has said in his heart, 'There is no God.'" What logical sense does your question about the dust make. It is obviously a dig, with no thought involved. "Dust" simply means the elements of the earth.

I must confess, as a schooled ex-Catholic and student of comparative religion, I did fairly well- 48.
