Father wants killer to die

"Robert Jackson cannot understand why anyone would care whether death row inmates suffer when lethal injection is administered, especially if the murderers tormented their victims."

It's understandable that this father would feel the need to exact revenge for the crimes of this person. Unfortunately for him, his desire in this matter must be weighed against the need of our society to determine whether the death penalty is an acceptable response to crimes, and if so, what mode of administering it is acceptable under the rules we have in place.

This is a painful truth for him, I know. But I expect it will be a very long time before he can face it and accept it, if he ever can.
