This Easter weekend...
UPDATE: Access is available.
SORRY! I've been away and a number of you have emailed me that you didn't have access to this over the past few days. Hopefully you will have access to the blog real soon....
CNN is asking, "What is a Christian?"
If you are not a Christian, tell me about the Christians you know, based on how your contact with them. If you are a Christian, what are you hoping that they say.

I have long had contact with a wide variety of Christians. The ones I respect the most -- the ones I like to think of as "true Christians" -- are loving, gentle, caring people who don't look down on me or any others who are not members of their faith. Many of them are fun to talk with on the subject of religion, and I have a terrific time discovering ideas and values that we hold in common. I often develop lasting friendships with them and they bring joy to my life, just as I hope I add a little happiness to theirs.
Then there are the other sort. Combative, judgemental, spiteful and often just plain rude. This sort of believer tends to bring ou the worst in me and I prefer to avoid contact with them whenever possible. It's a crying shame that there are so many of these folks around. But as they say, it takes all kinds, I guess.
