The only 'acceptable' prejudice left?
"The man said something like, 'You know, Mr. DeCoster is a Christian man and he can't have someone like you working for him.' "
This has never been an issue at any of the places I've worked -- or that I know of.

C'mon now. Everybody knows it's alright to hate atheists. Even Bush 41 said we shouldn't even be considered citizens. When will people ever learn?

I am all for equal opprotunity in the open market place; but there must still be room for private decisions made for private reasons regarding one's private business.
If one's conscience is being violated by speech or behavior, he should have the right to regulate, fire or reprimand. The government is nobody's Big Brother (or shoudn't be).
The owner of a business should have generally free rein to hire and fire as he sees fit. The atheist should have to yield to the standards and mandates of a Christain proprietor; a Christain should have to do likewise to an atheist owner: if he says no witnessing during business hours, the Christain should accede. If the Christain proprietor says no taking God's name in vain, the emplyeee should accede.
A basic freedom is at stake here. however, provable racial discimination should be prosecuted. Other, personal religious and philosophical, preferences should not be regulated or prosecuted by the State.
But these issues can get very convoluted and tricky. Hard to know who said what and did what until the court preceedings bring them to light.

"The ONLY "acceptable" prejudice left." Oh, you forgot Christain-bashing. That one seems alive and kicking today as well. More so.

So in your view, religious discrimination should be exempt. In your view, it's okay to discriminate against atheists.
