"Pat Robertson is not going to lose ultimate control of his creation,"..................................
therein lies the problem - robertson believes 'he' created this dynasty ( and he possibly did ) - how nice it would be to factor God into the birth of this ministry (although 'ministry' may not be the correct name for it) and to acknowledge Him in all things.
if i had opportunity to give advice to the younger robertson...it would be ........don't do it....go sit in solitude and seek Gods counsel and see what He might have in store for you.

"Gordon, wait till dad 'goes home' then you can say you are in charge." Until that happens, CBN will be just like the failed Bush presidential administration; "stay the course!"

I suppose it would be too much to ask .. but how about (for starters):
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. -- Matthew 6:5-6
in other words, less of the ostentation, already. God wasn't impressed with your father's puffed-up public self, and neither were we. All that in-your-face, holier-than-thou, moral high-ground nonsense was strictly between him and his own ego.
I'm not big on Jesus and all - but wasn't there a sermon He once gave on some mount somewhere? "Blessed be the ..." I forget. Then there was something about a log and a mote ... something about a camel, too, and a needle's eye.. I dunno.
Anyway, I'd like to see some more of that, please. (it seemed to pass Pat by)
