Reading the article, it doesn't sound like the neighbors are upset over having a huge new building full of Christians set up there. There doesn't appear to be any beef about church/state separation. Looks like they're concerned about the appearance of the neighborhood. Surely there's nothing wrong with that, in such a place as that part of Chapel Hill?

I just finished watching President Bush's press conference on C-SPAN - he concluded by wishing everyone "Happy Holidays" rather than "Merry Christmas" -
What a sad state of affairs -

Does this make him the antichrist? [evil grin]

Nope, not the antichrist. Maybe a distant second though.
What it does is show are the TRUE Christian colors of a "devout" Christian! Too bad that the religious right wing nuts are not able to voice their displeasure at the voting booth in the upcoming presidential election.
Shalom

ouch!!!!! i would have thought that in this season of joy and compassion that some of us might forego judging who are the true believers and who are the nutjobs. let's hope the new year brings new perspective and willingness to allows others the right to say things like "happy holiday" without judging them as a distant second antichrist.
btw would someone explain what 'holiday' means when used in the context of Christmas?

"let's hope the new year brings new perspective and willingness to allows others the right to say things like "happy holiday" without judging them as a distant second antichrist."
lFirst of all, it's bad theology to speculate about who the anitchrist is, because there is NO antichrist. That idea is simply the imaginings of the faciful premil dispensationalists, not good exegesis of Scripture. Besides that, Bush is a Teddy bear compared to the dispensationalist fantasy man.
I know, it's just another leftie venting his hatred of all things Christian and biblical. Besides, there are more than enough leftist wingnuts out there as well.
