In Western society many Muslim families allow older children to decide whether to wear traditional garb. I can only imagine this is an aberration.

Unfortunately, "honor" killings are only too common in other parts of the world. Fortunately, here in North America, that kind of garbage will not be tolerated.

" The girl's friends, meanwhile, told local media she was having trouble at home because she did not conform to the family's religious beliefs"..............
my youngest son is twenty and if he chooses a different faith path than the one i adhere to, i would be saddened and wonder if there was more that i could have done but killing him would not enter my mind, but praying more earnestly for him would. Christianity embraces love and forgiveness and is based upon the grace which God through Jesus Christ has endowed upon those who believe and model their lives after Him. muslims are bound to strict rules, regulations and laws with no room for grace - if you step out of line (especially women) be prepared to pay the price, even unto death.
