It is interesting to me that disgruntled sorts on this blog seem either unwilling, or unable, to write anything more than brief, isolated jibes at whoever. More of a complain-a-thon. This one is no exception. I think blogs are meant - especially this one - to be cyber places where folks can exchange and DEVELOP ideas. (I readily admit mine are too long); but sound bytes tell us little or nothing. Save the koans for poetry cites.

Some, like Falwell, will not be much noticed in their absence, since there is a large crowd of wannabe theocrats waiting in the wings at all times.
Then there are the people who truly make the world a better place through their efforts, and we'll miss them sorely. These were not so much religion leaders as people who worked to make the world better, and who were spiritual in nature as well. Bhutto, L'Engle, Mailer and Bergman were the ones of this type that stand out in most my mind.
