Made kosher in China

The country is a fastest-growing producer of kosher-certified food. But inspection and approval require a cultural balancing act --- how do you explain the Book of Leviticus in an atheist nation?

To call China an "atheist nation" is plain factually wrong. Do you call the United States, an atheist nation too?

China is a Marxist nation, which is a thoroughly atheistic ideology. On the other hand, there are many religious individuals and groups within China; so that on a practical level, it is to some extent Christian, Taoist, Buddhist, Muslim, et al. - though offically atheistic.

And, even though atheists are trying hard to eradicate Christianity in America, it remains a predominantly Christian nation - because of its majority status and its deeply imbedded cultural influences.

But it's a losing battle. Christ already won the victory when he rose from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father; where He now rules as Messianic King. It's just a matter of time before the "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever."
Rev. 11:15

Truth cannot be ultimately suppressed. God's moral, ethical and existential truth is the only stable and lasting modus vivendi; and sin, unbelief and human error ALWAYS produce personal and cultural failure. As Jesus put it: "I am the way, the truth and the life."

Made in China Kosher. Hmmm. Why not, everything else is.

Heh. Sorry Nikos, but your defense of the United States doesn't quite fit. Mainly because you use embedded cultural influences but then you use China based on the fact that it's a "Marxist" nation.

If you're using cultural influences, then it's based on its people. Thus, one is predominantly Christian, and the other is actually more influenced by Buddhism, and Taoism. If you go by history, then China is still siding with those two religions/philosophies seeing that the Communist Party has only held the nation for only a fraction of its long history (where the US has actually throughout its history been predominantly Christian).

The point being: China isn't an atheist nation. In saying that that it is, it wouldn't be any different in someone saying that the United States isn't a Christian nation.
