Will the church be silenced?
Whatever you think about Barack Obama's former pastor, his supporters make a good point. In general, the church may be the last place organized people can have honest dialogue -- and this latest controversy could threaten that. For example, will any church be able to be vocal about anything, even what members consider sin, if it might land them in the spotlight?

What an odd title in regard to a church and a pastor who has had wide coverage and opportunity to freely and openly voice his views. Silenced? Hardly. What is meant here is that Wright and church company are being uncovered and criticized; but definitely NOT shut down or "silenced."
What about the silencing that takes place through tax laws that repress churches from entering the political process, or the very real possibility of preachers being prosecuted for preaching against homosexuality (as they have been in other humanist/socialist countries) by government agencies in charge of "hate speech" crimes.
But let the media begin to unveil the radical Marxist ideology of liberation theology (Wright’s self-attested views), and its purveyors, and they’re up in arms, crying misquote, too hard on him, attacking the Black church, etc. Everyone who has studied a even little knows that “liberation theology” was begun as an attempt to wed Marxism and Catholicism in South America from the middle of the century onward; and that it was transplanted to the US where it became imbedded in the already leftist, liberal Protestant seminaries, becoming the war cry in their effort to bring down traditional capitalist, Bible-based culture of Constitutional America.
Christianity has been prostituted, twisted and grossly used to advance liberationist agenda. Liberationists have no commitment to the Gospel of grace, the authority of Scripture, or orthodox hermeneutics, but interpret everything in the light of their radical social “gospel.” They proof-text and pick and choose passages for their “liberation” message, calling it “prophetic.” It is a ravening wolf marketed in tawdry sheep’s clothing. And the gullible sheep fall for it – witness Obama’s successful rhetorical snowjob and Wright’s fawning followers.
For the past half century the religious left has played footsie with the already established Communist elements in universities and other strongholds in society to advance its agenda. Wright is at last being exposed as one of its big guns, and has now chosen to “come out” on national TV as a leftist/liberationist, trusting that sufficient groundwork for his “outing” has been laid by the leftist university culture and popular indoctrinations of Hollywood and other media.
It is ONLY the fact that they’re not being given the traditional big media pass, and are, instead, being exposed and evaluated, that elicits the charge of being “silenced.” Wright is correct that black church culture is not well understood by the prevailing white establishment churches; but it is not just cultural ignorance, but the fact that they have been, in part, a stealth move of the left, not wanting coverage or exposure. They now, apparently, feel that the time is right. Obama was their “big move” to stealth their way into power and move this country far to the left, hiding him behind traditional populist rhetoric and image-making – knowing that America was still too conservative and patriotic to consciously embrace leftist ideology.
Their problem now is that Wright has let the cat out of the bag and they are desperately trying to cram it back in. But once cats get loose they are impossible to squeeze back into their previous confines, but scramble about wildly and uncontrollably. The 64K question now is – can Obama and Wright and their media cronies pull the wool back over the eyes of the public enough to hang on to the nomination and gain the political power needed to advance their red agenda, hiding behind god-talk and the “unique” black church culture ruse? All it is, my friends, is the modern American political incarnation of Che Guevara’s guerilla techniques – same ideology, same totalitarian end. Hopefully the public will wake up and kick the bum out while there is still time.
And, of course, Billary is just B.O.’s white female clone, ideologically.

"will any church be able to be vocal about anything, even what members consider sin, if it might land them in the spotlight?"....................
Christians are called to be the salt of the earth and light of the world - why should any church be ashamed to be in the "spotlight" if they are adhering to the written Word ?
Wright is a hate filled minister who deplores the white man and simply accuses him of all the evils in the world (particularly to the negroes).
