I'm a little curious, Nancy. You said "If authentic..."
The article I see here has nothing to say that would indicate a question of its authenticity. Do you doubt this letter for some reason?

You make a good point and I should take that out. I figured that someone would ask how I knew it to be authentic. So, figuring I would remove that as a distraction, I actually made it a distraction. I'll take that out.

i guess it goes to show that a 'big' brain has no effect on faith.

He was just a genius sinner and his life showed it. Fine mind, fallen soul.
"For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."
I Cor. 1. 19 ff.

These things are also written in Nikos' fave book:
Judge not, that ye be not judged.
and...
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

alice,
women don't go to heaven........ i found it written in the book of revelation ! i'll provide you the scriptural reference....
Rev 8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
you see, we all know that women cannot be quiet for half an hour therefore this scripture proves no women are in heaven !!!!! one other thing you ought to know, scripture says men are to make the coffee.....Hebrews !
alice i hope you can see the absurdness of the above post....but just as you pluck out several scriptures and quote them to us - imo you have no context or spiritual understanding of what you posted. to the unregenerate person the bible is no more than a great novel with loads of good information - to those called, it is the Word of God and the complete prescription for what ails you and all mankind !

I know when someone like Nikos, who doesn't know what was in Einstein's heart is being judgmental and sanctimonious- and that's he's not a walking, welcoming ad for Christianity.
I like my coffee black. Go get it.

alice,
i'd be happy to get you a cup of coffee....but just know that there will be an added (secret) ingredient in it.....it's called...........prayer ! :-)
usually alice, what is in ones heart can be seen in the actions and words of that individual.
you often chide nikos for reciting scripture - please keep in mind this is suppossed to be a 'religious' discussion, so try not to be too irritated or surprised that when he comments that he supports his argument(s) with scriptures. and i choose to differ greatly with you concerning nikos being an example of his Christian faith. we already have some here who align themselves with Christianity but pick and choose what parts of scriptures are true and reliable and even which writers of those scriptures are qualified. at very least nikos attests that the whole of scripture is God breathed and profitable for our growth.
if i had to wage spiritual battle, i would gladly do so with nikos at my side !
Do you like one lump or two and how about a splash of cream to go with that coffee !? :-)

What has the Bible given us in the way of figuring out how the physics of the universe work, since the dawn of the 20th century? Weigh that against Einstein's contributions to understanding reality.
If we would prefer to go back to the Pony Express for communication, thus negating this very forum, then Einstein can be thrown out. I would venture that believing in a god probably requires disbelieving in relativity.
