All the more reason to lament its current descent into error and apostasy!
It has the dubisous distinction of being the church most responsible for the utter corruption of sound theology and Christian witness in the new century. Even the largely liberal Lambeth Conference has threatened it with censure, even possible expulsion. ECUSA needs a good Babylonian captivity to humble its presumption and cleanse its soul.
