The 'untouchables'?

Or just politics? Dole's campaign not keen on the atheist vote.

" ‘Kay Hagan does not represent the values of this state; she is a Trojan Horse for a long list of wacky left-wing outside groups bent on policies that would horrify most North Carolinians if they knew about it,’ McLagan said” - just like her messianic leader, Barak Husein Obama.

It’s obvious that the Democratic Party has been drifting, rather careening, toward the abyss of neo-Marxist statism for some time now. This election was supposed to be the “Red October” of US history: when the comprehensive dismantling of the Euro Christian West, in its American incarnation, was to begin in earnest. Europe has been under attack for some time now – and largely lost. All the revved-up rainbow players have been waiting in the wings for January 20, 2009, when the final hammering of the legislative nails into the Christian coffin could begin – to be forever interred in the grave of the kapitalist past.

But wait: not so fast, commies! A Deborah has arisen who will lead the saints to victory in November, and ultimate cultural triumph. The only hope of averting the descent of our nation into the cesspool of leftist, godless, perverse nihilism is for true Christian candidates to win the day. Fortunately, that outcome looks a little more promising every day! Deus volt.

But - I have no illusions concerning the level of Christian commitment of politicians, once they get thrown into the briar patch of Washington. We need a major, comprehensive, self-conscious renaissance of Christian learning, doctrine and culture; not some Jimmy Carter-style fantasy land of Christian pseudo-identity.

Kay Hagan is just one more leftist stealth trooper trying to gain power this election cycle in order to cement the liberal gains of ’06, and firmly establish the radical agenda for generations to come. I fear that the Christian community at large is not prepared to do battle on the emerging frontlines of modernity – although progress has been made in recent years. Winning a presidential election is no substitute for taking back our culture, universities, media and youth. That will take a degree of hard work and sacrifice that few comfortable and naïve Christians seem willing – or able – to make. If McCain and Palin are victorious, another four-year window of opportunity will be opened: hopefully, not to be largely frittered away, as the last two terms have been.

Nancy, I guess you sure gave Nikos all the material he needed to unleash his feelings about Kay Hagan and the Democratic Party. Thing is, he shows just how powerful the politics of fear and loathing can be. He has echoed about every blog-based fear-mongering notion that has been blasted by the purveyors of divisiveness to be found on the web these days. I'm wondering when the enemies of the Religious Right will be accused of eating live puppies.

And this also shows how this fear-based politics can so easily distract the voters from paying attention to the actual issues. And of course it also shows how easily a group of different people (atheists) can be effectively disenfranchised. They are expected to pay taxes and support the state like all other citizens, but heaven forbid that any of them should try to participate in the political life of the community!

“ . . . but heaven forbid that any of them should try to participate in the political life of the community!”

This statement is truly ironic – from several different perspectives. Primarily, that atheists and humanists ARE able to freely participate in all elections. There are oodles of them in the US Congress and on local school boards across the nation. It is Christians who are harassed and demeaned for wanting to advance biblical standards and agendas, at the very same time that leftists and humanists advance theirs!

Heaven (i.e. God) will someday not only forbid all atheist plans and actions; but will consign them to the hellish afterlife of the rebellious and unbelieving. For a brief blip in eternity now they have a chance to repent and believe on the Lord of Glory. That they do not, and continue to advance their godless agenda brings judgment on them – and on our nation. Christians do indeed oppose atheism when that worldview seeks to impose moral, social and political policies that are contrary to God and nature. They will never work, and they will bring down God’s wrath on them and the nation that approves their sinful agenda.

Namtac, your attempts to trivialize and deflect just criticisms of the leftist plan to socialize and grunge our culture will simply not fly at this point. Obama and company (and policies) prove them correct every day! As the American people see where they are leading us, they will more and more abandon them and choose a more conservative, Christian (although imperfect) ticket. In fact, the real beliefs and plans of the left are more diabolical and depraved than the media dare expose. The far right is no better - neither are Christian, and neither will I support in any way or fashion.

As far as I can tell, the right-wingers who were in power throughout all of Bush's first term and into the second bear the vast majority of blame for the Armageddon of economic crisis we are in today. The fixes they've attempted this year, too much and too late, are as socialistic as any we've seen. Of course, it's socialism for the richest few, bailing them out at the expense of the middle class and future citizens of all stripes.

Hagan is clearly not thinking rationally herself by associating with us untouchables. And I really doubt there are oodles in Congress...maybe just not as many "true Christians" as Nikos would like.

As for the Deborah...Debutante, more like.
