New Indian restaurant
I've been playing phone tag with the owner, but I wanted to go ahead and tip y'all off to a new Indian restaurant coming to north High Point.
A Taste of India is set to open in the former site of La Cocina Mexican restaurant. It's in the shopping center across Penny Road from Panera Bread.
North High Point already is home to the Ceramic Grill, an Indian restaurant in Oak Hollow Square, the center with Harris Teeter at the corner of Skeet Club and Eastchester.
Those are the only two Indian restaurants I know of in our area. If you know of another in north HP or Jamestown, let me know.
Mmm...tandoori chicken...

The Guilford County School board would NEVER hear of this! INDIAN in the NAME of an establishment?? GASP...Shame on them! They better change their name to "Food Yer Fore-fathers Ate" or "The Great Kind of Food you Eat in November", but NEVER the "six-letter" word!
I'm soooooo offended! They better turn in their scapels and feathers at once or Grier and Company will vote them to be bussed OUTTA HERE!!

Pocahontas,
You are so right! Those Southern High School alumni, parents and students have still not forgiven the school board for taken away their mascot. They still sell Indian mascot items.
And speaking of November they are making plans for November 2006 for the elections.
As Billy Yow said at one of the meetings last year. Those people over their will not forget about the school board stealing their mascot from them.
Will they ever learn?

Um, guys, I think the Indian in the restaurant name refers to a country (Not native americans)
