Sue,
How can I find out the current schedule for the completion of the Guilford College Road widening project?
Already I think it's several months (maybe a year) past schedule. I haven't seen a worker out there since the middle of December.
Have they run out of money?
Is there a plan to complete the project? If so, when??

Quest,
You can look at progress of state road projects, which include G.C. Road, on the N.C. Department of Transportation web site:
http://apps.dot.state.nc.us/traffictravel/progloc/ProgLocSearch.aspx
If you search by county you can see the projects listed by road name.
It looks like G.C. Road is about four months behind schedule. It was supposed to be finished first of Dec. and is now scheduled for opening in April, with 89 percent of the work done so far.
That doesn't answer all of your questions, but a couple of them.

Quest,
I apologize for not getting back to your comment sooner. According to the state, the project of widening Guilford College Road from Mackay Road to Wendover Avenue is expected to be complete by April 2007.
The project is estimated to cost more than $7.5 million. The contractor is Yates Construction. They have about 10 percent of the work still to complete.
Thanks again for the comment.
