Ouch!
Broke my wrist yesterday. It was dark. Rode my bike into a newly installed, that-wasn't-there-yesterday plastic fence at the Hill Street entrance to Latham Park. Ever tried typing with the elbow locked at a right angle and the wrist immobile?
Lemme just say that everything you've heard about emergency rooms was true yesterday. At least I don't have Blue Cross.

"Ever tried typing with the elbow locked at a right angle and the wrist immobile?"
Why yes, as a matter of fact, I have tried that. Not all that easy, is it, Slim?

Ouch indeed! My sympathies, Mr. Robinson. We take so much for granted in our lives that having an appendage in a cast or splint is really a life-altering (at least for a couple weeks) experience.
Hope it mends quickly.

Yeah, that'd raise a lot of money, Sue. Better fundraiser would be to auction off breaking my right arm.
Slim?
Thanks, jaycee. Not having heard from you in awhile, I feared you had gotten frustrated with me and left.

John: Sorry about your wrist. Glad you are all right otherwise.
I did rip my left shoulder playing basketball in college and had to spend a few weeks with a sling. I imagine the wrist is more difficult to do without when it comes to typing.

"Ever tried typing with the elbow locked..."
I've never tried that.
However, I would suspect it would be easier than back-peddling while trying to remove my foot from my mouth, something with which I am quite familiar.

JR: good thing your wife certainly will wait on you like I am sure she will--NOT.
And for that I'm sorry.
You'll be out and away in no time, but I'd get a headlight first.
