We have hired Amanda Lehmert of the Cape Cod Times to cover higher education. A graduate of Emerson College, she has covered Falmouth and the Mass. Military Reservation at the paper.
She participated in ConvergeSouth last month and still she decided to throw in with us. Here she is with her friend and now fellow N&R reporter Joe Killian.
Lanita Withers, who currently covers higher ed, is moving to write about business.

That nice gal we had dinner with at ConvergeSouth on the top of Ganache? Nice girl ("under-35" = "girl" or "boy" to me and my son is older than the resident with my doctor yesterday so it's a matter of perspective). I figured your private conversation with her would yield good results.

Yep. Although I suspect the vibrant conversation at Converge had more to do with it than our private conversation, so you can take some credit for her coming, too.
