Candidate videos: take a look

Wondering who to vote for? Wondering what the candidates look and sound like? Want to hear them without the filter -- or questions -- of the news media? Here they are.

Well, not all of them. All candidates were invited; some didn't take us up on it. Curiously, many challengers didn't come in, but most of the incumbents did. In any case, they are about what you'd think they'd be.

"All candidates were invited"

Really? There must be a dozen people at the N&R with my home phone number and twice that many with my e-mail address but I never heard of this invitation until now.

For those who may not know I am running as a write-in candidate for Mayor of Greensboro even though the N&R editorial staff is trying to ignore me.

If you'd like to read some real ideas from the only candidate who has ideas: http://www.musecrafters.com/bloggingpoet/2601/Write-in+Billy+Jones+For+Mayor+Of+Greensboro.html

And when you hear candidates talking about gangs and crime remember it was Joe Wilson and myself who forced them to talk about the issue:

I stand corrected, Billy. It is true that we did not invite write-in candidates. I should have written, "All registered candidates were invited," or "All candidates on the ballot were invited."

Thanks, Joe. Sorry we couldn't entice you to record one for us.
