Calling out bloggers
Some bloggers noted this morning that they received an e-mail from us telling them why their newspapers were late. If you want to receive such information from us, not only about some of our problems, but also about our upcoming stories and events, please leave word in the comments or shoot me an e-mail.
We won't spam you or try to sell you anything. It's just a service, particularly aimed at active bloggers. If you want us to cease at anytime just let me know.

Gee, I thought Ed sent me that press release because he liked me. Darn, the number of N&R'ers who I thought liked me is dwindling.

I discovered that our morning paper (and our neighbor's) was missing, called circulation, waited on hold, gave up and hung up (because I couldn't hold the phone and make my kid's lunch at the same time) -- all long before turning on the computer for the day. (Actually, maybe before your circulation desk employees had even reported to work this morning!) Later, when I did turn on the computer, I went to your web site first and saw the notice about the delay before I even checked my email and found the news release from Faun. So now I know that when we don't get a paper, I should go check my email first! ;) Thanks for the emails, on this and other subjects. I think it's a great idea.
