Voting and journalism
I vote.
I don't know why you'd care about that, but the issue of journalists voting is being kicked around.
Some journalists don't vote. I respect their thinking, but I don't agree.
I have thoughts and opinions about issues of the day. To say that I don't and therefore won't vote would be wrong. Most of the journalists I know have been trained to report dispassionately and can keep their opinions out of their stories.
I don't know who I'm going to vote for yet; it's early for me to decide. But come May, I'll be ready.

I like to think that every time I vote I'm cancelling out a vote by a left wing journalist....:)

I think journalist should keep his/her opinion out of the story being reported. I think journalist should vote however; I hear them say they write stories to make things better. Isn't that what voting is all about? It doesn't always work. Nothing works till you try it. Then again, the ones that don't vote are the ones that complain the most. Kinda moronic I think....I guess they just don't understand how our government works. Maybe we should tell the state to teach civics in 12th grade, when people are turning old enough to vote, than in 9th grade, when all kids are worried about is Friday night.
