New writer: Robert Lopez
We've hired Robert Lopez as a feature writer. He has been with the Beaumont Enterprise in Texas for the past two years. He's also worked for the Houston Chronicle and the Times Union in Albany. Some of his work in Beaumont is here.

John, question, I picked up a copy of the NR in Danville this morning, did I miss the story about the Berkeley mistreatment of the Marines.

Just kidding, Doug. You mean, why isn't it in our paper? I don't know for sure as I didn't actively participate in the selection of wire stories last night. I would guess, though, that we didn't publish it because in the realm of all the stories that we needed to squeeze in, that one was relatively minor.
It's Berkeley, for goodness sakes. What do you expect?

Your paper is not the only one, from the furor on the golf course and the CW radio stations.
You missed a great chance, Cindy had on pink tights and her boobs stuck out like British size golf balls.
* British golf balls were smaller than American golf balls, they are no longer legal
