Coble serves the 6th District with honor

What a shame it is that Congressman Howard Coble has had to respond to accusations against him that are made without factual evidence (June 18 Counterpoint).

For those of us who have had the honor and privilege of working with Congressman Coble, we know that he is the most honest and honorable person who has continuously and faithfully represented the 6th District for many years. His honesty and integrity are beyond reproach.

The only good thing to come out of these malicious accusations is that we can thank God that we live in a country where even the uninformed and ignorant have the opportunity to express themselves.

Angella! Let's get one thing straight first. We had 8 years of Mr. Clinton who let Bin Laden go on many occasions--or maybe you just don't remember that. Are we to negotiate with people like Bin Laden, Hitler, Mousolini etc? I think not. You would be speaking German, Russian or Japanese right now. Is that too simple to understand? When the trade centers were struck, it was American soil and thousands of American lives were snuffed out--innocent at that.
What amazes me about people like you is that the only thing you do is go to the park and drink your sweet tea with your gals! You have no grasp of HISTORY! You could not stomach the fact that thousands died on one single beach on D-Day alone, thousands in the cold Ardenes forest, thousands in Holland, Italy, Iwo Jima, Pearl Harbor....the list goes on and on. To date, over almost 2.5 years just over 1700 brave soldiers have paid the highest price for you!

Educate yourself!

Michael, nobody's home.

Angella--
The republicans did not--I repeat did not get "us into this". As much as you hate to admit it, Bush was in office 8 months when 911 happened. It was years of ignorance, chasing interns around the White House, bombing aspirin factories and deserted terrorist camps at the height of "Monica Gate" that "got us into this". It was 8 years of cutting military budgets and outright despising the military that "got us into this".

Bush handled this the way America needs to handle it---he had the majority of Democrats with him until they too got soft---thank the Almighty for LEADERSHIP and resolve to do the right thing!

Now prepare your next canidate and cotinue to follow her to the center! She's got a health care plan for you--don't you remember the mess she created trying to implement a "National Health Care Program"--you probably don't! What a mess that would be--just ask our friends the Canadians!
Yep--we "control" all three branches of government. Educate yourself once again! You realise the minority is filibustering and stopping every canidate the Republicans present! So we control the Supreme court too?? If you call the "legislation" you see coming out of the courts control then you have or are smoking weed!

Educate yourself!

Mr. Magoo,

Lights ain't on and there's papers in the driveway.

"If you call the "legislation" you see coming out of the courts control then you have or are smoking weed!"

Michael,

Who's smokin' weed?
