Hawaii junket details

A lot has been written about the county commissioners' trip to Hawaii. If you are interested in the schedule for the five-day event, go to www.naco.org for details. Then decide whether you believe this is money well spent.

At a minimum, each commissioner should provide the press, and the press should print, a list of the sessions attended, what was learned and how it will benefit Guilford County. Lest anyone get apoplectic about the Kernersville address, I live in Guilford County.

Mr. Brackett,

Your points are well-taken about our beloved commissioners junket to Hawaii. Actually, you do not have to wait for the News-Record to acquire and print the information that you requested (which isn't likely to happen). The Rhino Times is already doing just that.

In this week's Rhino edition, it was reported that one of their reporters flew to Hawaii along with Commissioners Davis and Gibson. He will be in Hawaii the entire week and will report on the activities at the conference, and especially, how hard our commissioners are working while they are there. So, at least one member of our local media has responded to your request. Check out the Rhino Times this week for more information; copies are readily available in your part of Guilford County at Oak Ridge and Stokesdale locations.

GOD BLESS THE RHINO TIMES!

They actually print the truth! I'll be anxiously awaiting Thursday's edition for pictures of Davis and Alston getting laid!

John Hammer and Scott Jost should be running this country!!!

There is only one good thing about the commissioners trip to hawaii. It will at least get rid of them for a week.

Can you get this Rhino Times in the mail.I would like to see some real news vs this GOOD OLD BOY news I get in NR and WSJ. It would save me money and gas going to buy these papers. Hell I am glad the commissioners from CASWELL COUNTY are gone, they can not pee away money on some GOOD OLD BOY SHAM while away. Then maybe they can do these by phone???They are damn good at this!

Doug asked: "Can you get this Rhino Times in the mail"

I believe you can get it in the mail but you can also read it online. Although online it is usually a week behind.

THANKS,
Going to try now.

Doug,

If you live in Guilford, there is likely a location near you that has the Rhino. I get mine at Lowe's Food every Thursday. I'm sure if you contact the Rhino, they could help you find a location where you can pick one up. another god thing about the Rhino is that it is FREE. As trish said, you can get it online, but it is usually at least one week late, so making a short drive to pick one up is preferable.
