Marlins must act soon to claim Kernersville

I couldn't agree more with the editorial (Nov. 27) that the Triad's "untapped potential" would make us an inviting new home for the Florida Marlins Major League Baseball team.

Yes, I think the Marlins should quickly grab a choice parcel of land in Kernersville before it is claimed by the United Nations or the Vatican in their inexorable move here as well.

Paul:

Never fear, Jim Melvin and cronies will never allow the Marlins to be in Kernersville! They will do imminent domain and teardown the friendly center, Four seasons mall, or the Jefferson Pilot building as required if there is a chance to get them to Greensboro! So have faith the buildozers are ready and waiting!
