« Lebanon should not get any money from the U.S. | Main | Barnes takes right stand on the issue of Tasers »

Bush's outrages present real threat to Americans

The recent rise in President Bush's approval numbers after the failed terrorist plot against airlines in England is pathetic. These weaklings who fear terrorism (the new fear replacement for communism) ignore all the other Bush administration outrages:

1) the conspiracy to manufacture evidence supporting the Iraq invasion (which Bush indirectly admitted to recently in his press conference);

2) obstructing a legitimate investigation of the administration's actions prior to 9/11;

3) outing CIA operative Valerie Plame and then obstructing an investigation;

4) NSA wiretapping, contrary to the Fourth Amendment;

5) signing statements of more than 700 laws, contrary to our Constitution; and

6) criminal negligence in incompetently preparing for the Iraq invasion, while cutting veterans' benefits.

Republicans had no problems criticizing Roosevelt, Truman and Johnson during previous wars. Why should Bush be exempt?

If this administration were truly anti-terrorist, it would have pursued bin Laden in Afghanistan rather than diverting our forces in the oil and power grab against an already weakened Saddam.

The secrecy, incompetence, corruption and anti-freedom policies of the Bush administration are a much more serious threat to Americans. How embarrassing it must be to be a thinking Republican these days.

How many of you have read this letter before?

"The recent rise in President Bush's approval numbers after the failed terrorist plot against airlines in England is pathetic."

Good news on the wot.... bad news for the democrats. This is what is evident in this pathetic seminar letter.

By still clinging to the idea (hope) that the Bush adm. "outed" the Langley clerk, Valarie Plame, the democrats are showing just how nervous they are about the public's ability to see through their rhetoric of being "strong" on national security.

When and if they regain their power the national 'security' of the US will lie in the hands of Kofi Annan.

Bush's "buttboy", neoCON, has once again signed on to be an apologist. Broken record.

Dog this same letter appeared in the Asheville paper in somewhat a different form. The writer there did not use the numbered list but the rest was almost identical. Guess they must subscribe to the same farleft websites that the ditto dummy and a few of his clown followers bow down to each morning, noon and evening.

"Bush's "buttboy"

As usual, DD's juvenile gutter brain is fully engaged.

There is one indisputable line in this LTE, which is the one about "thinking Republicans these days". Living in a VERY Republican neighborhood, I have heard all the whining from the Rockefellar Republicans about how embarrassed they are by the neocons in the administration. It really only started the week AFTER Katrina. Most took their "W" magnets off their cars as their disgust at the administration was palpable.
The rest of the LTE can be disputed until the cows come home by the apologists, but the last sentence is a damning one.

Hugh,
Do YOU have any pearls today? Any excuses for Bush? LOL!

DD, "Juvenile" was rather harsh. Sophmoric is more descriptive.

Dear Lord Ditto! I haven't been real active on this site lately, but the few times I have checked it seemed like you were almost becoming less rude, crude and repulsive. Now today you are showing your buns again. Sad. BB

BrendaBee,
Guess you could say I've had enough playing Mr. nice guy to a bunch morons.
Mr. Produce, pretending he is some sort of super sleuth, claims I am a Virginia political operative, neoCON comes out with his broken record drivel and poor ol' Hugh just joins in with the rest of the narccissitic bunch, deflecting questions about the LTE's for the sake of attacking me. I really feel sorry for the three I mentioned as they must have such empty lives---but when they speak, they remove all doubts about any presupposed intelligence.
***********
BB,
What's your take on this particular LTE?

Hugh,

I agree that name calling is immature. However, you kind of sound like O'Reilly crying about Media Matters. He will actually whine about them smearing him while in the same sentence calling them "nutcases". It’s kind of like how you called DD a "juvenile gutter brain" while addressing his "buttboy" comment. It's also interesting to me how ALL OF YOU call him Ditto Dummy. That kind of makes you all sound like, well, Ditto Dummies.

LTE is written. Neocon is usually first to make an insulting comment. DD responds in kind. Then, you all start calling him Ditto Dummy. I hope none of you are serious about comedy. If so, I strongly suggest you keep your day jobs. Grow up, all of you! It’s getting really old.

Bush, 9/01:

" Americans are asking: How will we fight and win this war? We will direct every resource at our command -- every means of diplomacy, every tool of intelligence, every instrument of law enforcement, every financial influence, and every necessary weapon of war -- to the disruption and to the defeat of the global terror network.

This war will not be like the war against Iraq a decade ago, with a decisive liberation of territory and a swift conclusion. It will not look like the air war above Kosovo two years ago, where no ground troops were used and not a single American was lost in combat.

Our response involves far more than instant retaliation and isolated strikes. Americans should not expect one battle, but a lengthy campaign, unlike any other we have ever seen. It may include dramatic strikes, visible on TV, and covert operations, secret even in success. We will starve terrorists of funding, turn them one against another, drive them from place to place, until there is no refuge or no rest. And we will pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism. Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. (Applause.) From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime. "

In reference to Stevie D's comment I have been advised by counsel - my ten year old daughter - that it's not only rude but unfair to single out people for personal insult while blogging.

So, I'm going to take her advice, sort of.

You're ALL a bunch of idiots!

There, I feel better now.

P.S. Love you guys.

Amen Jan! I wish everyone here would realize that they love debating with each other. Blogs like these provide a way to discuss politics and religion openly. Our society discourages people from discussing these topics in public as if they were taboo. We all know this is true. With that said, let’s be nicer to each other as people. Please attack ideas and not individuals.

I don’t care if you call Hillary a bitch or Dubbya an idiot. Just try and refrain from directing such names at bloggers. After all, where else in day to day life can you discuss these topics with so many people? This bickering makes us all look divided and conquered. Believe me, the powers that be, whether you think they are ivory tower liberals or evil corporate conservatives, benefit from these silly social divisions. Let’s find common ground and scare the Hell out of them!

ABC's Path to 9/11 was severly edited due to threats from Clinton and his lawyers, as well as Democrat Senators.

Here's a portion of the edited cuts, view them quickly as they will be Arkancided quickly:

http://savethesoldiers.com/j/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1863&Itemid=53

Stevie D,

I had signed on earlier to make a comment about how all the schoolyard bickering was getting a bit old. Then I decided it would do absolutely no good to try to point out how hypocritical hugh, neocon, et al are in their responses to DD. But now that you have introduced that thought, I concur.

To all those participating in the "gang up on DD" attacks:

Opinions re LTTE and the basis for those opinions are two of the reasons I read this blog. I am more than a little weary of all the name-calling, disrespectful, childish behavior of a few. I personally could give a rat's butt what you (all you DD haters) think of other people who frequent this blog. However, I do care what you think of an ISSUE, even when I don't agree.

It is so elementary to digress to schoolyard brawls in every thread. So, please already, take SD's advise and grow up.

Yvonne, do you use "buttboy" in your daily vocabulary? The term is deragative and refers to Homosexual anal sex, yet you nor anyone else so far takes issue with it being used to describe Neo; However, you take issue with my response to it.

Calling someone sophmoric gutter brained for expressing themselves publicly in that manner is proper form.

I'm really glad Yvonne & Stevie brought this up. Although tempted many times, I refrain from calling people nasty names in this blog. Stevie you will not find a post where I've called DD Ditto Dummy.

Despite the fact that he has called me an idiot, a**hole, little tin horn flag waver and most recently alluded to me being naked with little boys, I still refer to him as DD.

Despite my desire to argue opinions, just about anything I post to him results in me being called a "Bush apologist" or even worse. Frankly I'm tired of beating my head against a brick wall just to be insulted in return. After all the definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and expecting a different result.

DD is what he his, there is no changing that. Yes, he will settle down periodically and lay off the insults, but they inevitably return as Brendabee illustrates.

If he wants to debate ideas as the N&R terms of service desires, then I'll be glad to debate ideas.

If he wishes to respond with name calling or hackneyed retorts like "Bush apologist", etc. I'll simply ignore him, no response. It's not worth my time. I would suggest the rest of you do the same.

I am overwhelmed by the support of my kindred spirits! Your love, your thoughts and your kind remarks are very appreciated. But, alas do not think you HAVE to carry water for me---as that is just what Hugh, neoCON, and others do for the current administration. When they cannot come up with congent arguments for "why", they presume the old "moral high ground" argument will work for them again. Kind of like trotting out "TERROR, TERROR, TERROR" as Bush does when he cannot defend his actions.

Again, thank you for your kindness and Godspeed!

P.S. Could someone please impress upon Mr. Produce that he is wasting his time pretending to know WHO I am. He's just embarrassing himself further.

Anyone take a look at Hugh's link?

How can anyone take this kind of "crap"--excuse me Dan, but it is "CRAP", how can they take it seriously? It is a site not unlike the Swiftboaters and carries absolutely no credentials as "fair & balanced". Of course neither does FOXNews....

Mr. Produce, pretending he is some sort of super sleuth, claims I am a Virginia political operative,

Never said any such thing, that is your tale, I sit on mine.

I also did not claim that I was the one who "discovered you" but stated simply that I am the messenger. You do seem to have a comprehension problem or else just love to twist words. I do however concur with those who have done the work.

Just for a bit of information Ditto dummy, none who are currently on this blog did the work. The work was done by those who have had enough of your arrogance and grandstanding as the all knowing on subjects you have no clue about of which there are many but one is certainly my background. It seems that you are too cowardly to respond in a cordial manner in an e-mail and discover just who I am. You might just be surprised as to who I am and what career post that I have held. Given your arrogance I doubt that you would believe unless like doubting Thomas you saw the "nail prints and wounded side" and perhaps then you still would not believe so don't bother now that I am leaving. I will leave you to your imagination and fantasy as to any thing about me. Frankly I could care less since I am secure in who I am and what I am . It would seem that you are not. At least in my professional opinion you would appear to have many of the traits of a very insecure individual. Later today , should the word come down, I will post the final link to your identity according to the discovery made by the "committee". Until then, Swish, Swish, the sickle swings closer.

DD, you've got reading comprehension problem that is aggrevated by your seething partisanship. The issue was the edited video links, not the site content.

Hugh,

Here’s what some mainstream conservatives are saying about the film.

Coincidence?

I leave the conclusions to those who read. The denial may be forthcoming but until other proof is shown that it is not true, the folks involved stand by this report.

With that I will allow the dd to stew and squirm and call me what ever names he may choose and declare me and the others as delusional etc. I frankly don't give a rats butt anymore.
Those who know me will know that this was not a madeup deal and those who furnished the information have suceeded in doing what they set out to do. Take care and enjoy.

Hugh,

"The issue was the edited video links, not the site content."

I assume you will apply that logic to the video I just posted.

I don't plan on going within three hundred miles of the lte subject matter on this posting, so feel free to ignore it.

Things that happen, things you learn:

A few years ago I took my great uncle and his wife out for dinner to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary. That's not a typo. At one point just after the meal while his wife was gone to the restroom my uncle turned to me and, in his most conspiratorial voice, whispered "You know, I'm beginning to think this marriage thing might just work out."

His statement illustrates two things, that the attainment of a successful marriage is an ongoing process, and that marriage can be a wonderful experience for two people providing I'm not one of them.

Many years ago I discovered that sexual intercourse is a sweaty, smelly, perverse and disgusting activity - but only if it's done properly.

Some things never change.

At a party one night, when my eldest daughter was two years old, she and a little black girl of the same age were the highlight of the evening when they began spontaneously dancing to an old Beatles recording. Neither of them suffered from any mistrust, suspicion or sense of racial divisiveness toward one another.

If they grow up any differently from the way they were then, we, their parents, will owe them both an apology.

"Twist and Shout" sweetheart.

Tomorrow is a memory that's yet to be made, you can control it, do so.

The true measure of a man is not in what he can dish out, but in what he can take.

For many years I had a plaque that I'd had made on my desk, it read: "Ignorance is not knowing all the facts, stupidity is thinking that you do."

One of my employees asked me one time if the saying was original or if it was a quote from someone else. I had no idea, so I just took the fifth. Or it may have been a pint, but either way it was damn good scotch.

Although it has been a long time I still have vivid memories of what it's like to fall in love. The lightheaded, weak kneed, pulse racing excitement of flooding emotion that was such a thrill in my youth and would now only prompt me to schedule an immediate biopsy.

Some things DO change.

My youngest daughter at age four, sitting in a Sunday School class listening to a lesson about trust and faith. At the end of the session the teacher asked the children who they put their trust in.

Six kids shouted "Jesus", one little girl said "my dad."

The awards, trophies and plaques are boxed up and forgotten in the closet, but that little memory sits proudly atop the livingroom mantle of my soul.

The best advice I ever had - Treat your family, friends and those you care about so that you never have to tell them you love them in order for them to know it.

Then tell them anyway.

More than forty years ago I was in town visiting my parents when one of my maternal grandmother's neighbors called to inform my mother that there had been a burglary at her house and that the police and an ambulance were there. I hopped behind the wheel of my 61 Plymouth (that's right, it had a push button gear shift) with my mother beside me, and after a quick stop to round up two of her sisters that lived nearby, I drove like a demon with his tail on fire over to her place.

She lived in a large house on what was then Asheboro Street, and on the way over my mother and aunts engaged in a conversation that bounced back and forth between concern over my grandmother's apparent injuries and a hope that now they could finally persuade her to quit trying to stay so independent as to continue to live by herself and care for such a large residence at her age.

My grandmother was a very petite, polite and peaceful person and although I was concentrating on my driving I will admit to being worried sick about her also.

By the time we arrived the ambulance was already gone, and the first thing I noticed when I exited the car was blood all over the front porch.

Rushing in we found my seventy seven year old grandmother sitting calmly at the kitchen table speaking with two obviously amused Greensboro Police officers.

She had heard the burglar removing a screen from a downstairs bedroom window, called the police, then walked into the bedroom and told him they were on their way. He'd ignored her and continued to climb in the window, so she'd hit him square in the face with rather large iron skillet.

It was a forehand "Rocket Rod" Laver would have been proud of, breaking his nose, right cheekbone and costing him several teeth in the process. He was still unconscious when the GPD officers had arrived.

To this day I can't watch a tennis match without laughing.

Poor helpless old lady.

She was younger then than I am now.

Happy Birthday to me :).

Jan,

I think I'm gonna need to manipulate the space-time continuum in order to read your last post. ;-) Can I get an "Amen" from JDR?

LOL Stevie. I've learned to use senility as a defense mechanism, so if I get offended by no one reading it, all I've got to do is let nature take it's course and forget I was offended in the first place.

Go to the WFU.edu website, choose Directories, Wake Forest people, type in Smith, click the current faculty/staff radio button, click search. There are two R Smiths, one is female. The other is there and corresponds to the email address MrP. posted, a debate coach.

That couldn't be DD MrP. I find his style incongrous with a university debate coach.

Hugh, I have one more thing to add. Though I agree with your comment about judging substance of the post rather than site content, I think DD's point is good as well.

For example, RedState.com is the site where conservative blogger Ben Domenech came from. This is the guy who was hired to do a blog on The Washington Post website. Ya know, because they are so liberal and all.

Anyway, he was fired within one week when liberal bloggers busted him for blatant plagiarism, which he later admitted. Random House is making too much money to admit Ann Coulter is a plagiarist, but I digress.

My point is simply this. Arguments against an individual and/or group are not always ad hominem attacks. When the argument goes to credibility, which RedState clearly lacks, it's fair game.

Just saw a great article by Ron Reagan, son of Ronald Reagan. Here is part of it, which I think says more than anyone on this thread has said thus far about 9/11:

Secret prisons, torture, and an unnecessary war against the wrong enemy - were these signs of wisdom or panic? Was there no more constructive way to approach that part of the world which spawned our attackers - not to appease but to creatively engage? Have we, in the intervening years, done our nation proud?

We will all remember 9/11 in our own ways. For me, the tragedy merely began on that day, then continued every day since in a litany of missed chances and squandered opportunities.

*******
Mr. Produce,
You are a total laughing stock. I know who Ross Smith is, and I am going to direct him to this thread so he can laugh you back to your outhouse in the sticks! Frankly, I am flattered, but you are such an entertaining narcissist. Good try! Does Ross have a website or blog?
My Wake days go back to the former "Mr. Democrat", and former mayor of Winston-Salem, Franklin Shirley. Now there was a debate coach! Anyway, you are quite funny, not only in your picks, but in your pursuit!! LOL!
I can assure you without equivocation, mental reservation, or secret evasion of mind that I AM NOT Ross Smith.

Mr. Produce,
Now that your retired "military recruiters" known as your committee have failed to come up with my identity, who will you say I am next??? Dr. Benjamin Spock? Ben Bradlee? Pat Conroy? LOL! You really stepped in your own pile this time, but it makes my day.

Oh, by the way, "swish, swish"!! HA!!LOL!

Thank you Dan! I was waiting for Agent X (code name - mrproduce) to reveal to us that DemonDeacon was really the Anti-Christian Grand Master of a cabal of Satanic Democrats located on the campus of Wake Forest. Whew! Thanks for clearing that up.

Interesting Stevie, I've run across a couple of sites today that had the edited/non edited clips posted side by side. Differences are only seconds or a few minutes worth, not the 1.5 hours that was originally reported.

This being the case ABC did not edit the movie to the extent that Democratic Senate leadership asked--(they wanted it pulled), and what Clinton and his lawyers were crying about. (BTW, I watched your clip)

Stevie D,
Your points are very valid. Seems that most of the "righties" who post here can only reference the party line blogs rather than any mainstream source. But I must give Hugh credit, he does read Popular Mechanics and will reference them on national events.

What I truly find befuddling, is the zeal with which these folks defend the every move of this administration. Granted, I am a liberal, but I had plenty of criticism for the Clinton administration, and most Republicans I know are very upset at the course Bush has taken us on. But for some who post here, they cannot find one blemish on the administration that cannot be explained away by blaming the media, the Democrats, or just those nebulous "Lib-ruhls".

They proffer no alternatives, but rather parrot what they hear on Rush etc. Most don't even
R-E-A-D, much less challenge themselves intellectually. Sorry to rant here, but it seems like this is the class that was held back again and again and again!

Stevie D,
"Agent X" will probably disappear for a while--he usually does when he makes the complete fool of himself. Just saw where the King of Tonga died, so he can mark that off as a possibility for my identity. LOL.

To mark the five year anniversary of 9/11/2001, we need to all remember how our President reacted AFTER being told that our country was under attack.

They say the camera never blinks, and never before has than been so true as when it focused on George W. Bush at a photo op.

http://www.thememoryhole.org/911/bush-911.htm

God help the United States of America.

Ross Smith may not have his own blog, but he sure is present in the Daily Kos under the moniker DeamonDeac.

http://www.dailykos.com/user/uid:69467

He is even running for a position on the school board:

http://www.ross4schools.org/c/rs/

That older republican neighborhood with some newer houses he lives in is nice but he's lying about his $7,000 year taxes, he pays less than 25% of that.

DD,

If it makes you feel any better, I couldn't care less about your real identity. Or whether you had a blog.

I would be interested to know, however, if you secretly have a subscription to Popular Mechanics, have a Vernon Robinson bumper sticker, a confederate flag belt-buckle that you wear with with a shirt displaying the American flag that states "Just try and burn it" while donating money to organizations against gay marriage.

I'm just not sure where you stand on these issues.

I really have to hang in the middle on this issue (the interesting issue that is, not the one about DD’s secret identity). I think credibility is important. However, I don't want anyone to think that mainstream equals credible in my mind. I like to use the example of Alex Jones.

If you have ever seen this guy's websites, you will definitely remember him. He is one of those New World Order conservatives. I don't necessarily mean that as derogatory, I only characterize him that way to be descriptive.

Anyway, he is bizarre and out there sometimes. Yet he is daring and asks questions that no one else will touch. He has a popular radio show as well. On his websites, you will find tons of documentaries and some other really wild stuff. He covers every end of the conspiratorial spectrum. He hates Clinton, but hates Bush even more. You will also find tons of credible, thought provoking documentaries such as the Academy Award winning “The Panama Deception” posted on his sites.

Alex Jones illustrates a good reason to be considering the messenger. On the contrary, he also provides a good argument for judging the message rather than the messenger. I think a lot of those who are characterized as being unhinged conspiracy theorists are often populists who are getting a bad rap. But, many of them are loony tunes. The same holds true with partisan blogs. It’s a tough call that forces us to rely on common sense and reason when we assess what someone else is saying. Not preconceived notions formed before hearing what they have to say.

Even with that said, I would still be willing to pre-judge anyone who comes out with a book that tries to prove the world is flat. If such a book comes out, the “How can you criticize it before reading it?” debate tactic is just not gonna work.

LOL, Dan, you nailed him. I spent some time reading his posts on Kos and a couple of other sites. The grammer and syntax are a match as well as his democrat party activism. I'll have to swing by his house next time I'm over by WFU and say hello.

I am with you on this issue, Stevie. I don't think that just because something is mainstream or middle grounded, it is acceptable.

My biggest concern is the collusion of the powers that may be keeping us divided.

Here is my bit of rabid paranoia in an allusion.

You have 2 factions. One tells us the sky is blue. The other tells us the sky is yellow. Supporters of faction A are just as vocal and certain of the sky being blue, as the followers of faction B are about it being yellow.

Neither side's followers actually make an effort themselves to find out the sky's true color, because they know what they have been told, and they know what their allegiences are. They know they are right, and the other side is wrong. Both sets of people are just as ignorant of the truth.

Anyway, the 2 factions, in the spirit of unity and harmony and for the betterment of all mankind, then compromise and both agree that they can consider the sky green. Green sky is then something that everyone can get behind, because it is a compromise. Compromises are always good things, right? If your faction is behind something, it can't be that bad. Again, no need for independant verification, as the party leadership has spoken.

Then we all go away having been sold upon a green sky, and blissfully happy at that result.

The factions still exist, but what difference does it make for us? They both have us where they want us.

Swanks,
Sorry for being so mamby pamby on those issues!
I guess I'm just 'riding the fence' waiting for the wind to blow...
**************
Dan,
If you are one of Mr. P's "committee members" (LOL) then you sure led him down the primrose path. Doubt we'll hear anything from the "secret agent" again any time soon. Gotta tell you, I've aged a lot better than Ross Smith, and I had no idea he was running for the school board. He'll make a great addition if the Forsyth County people will support him. A friend of mine ran for school board over there a few years' ago and he got waxed by some creationist who later got waxed by another candidate who exposed the hypocrisy.

Hugh,
Pretty obvious you don't know my neighborhood, but don't worry, Mr. Produce will have me living in Georgetown flat next to Joe wilson & Valerie Plame next! You guys need to do a comedy act downtown on Elm Street---Mr. Produce could play "Mr. Haney" to your "Hank Kimball" straight off the Green Acres television show. Okay, I'll quit. I'm typecasting you two and that is not fair.
Have a great day and keep those pearls a coming!

Hugh and Dan,

Trying to call out and identify someone online like that and saying you are going to "swing by" their house could be taken as threatening. I don't think that is what you mean. However, I really think you guys should knock it off for real. Who gives a crap about who he really is? Please drop it!

Stevie, I'm a harmless teddie bear oozing with nothing but love.

That said, I see nothing wrong with visting a friend and shooting the bull, oh wait, you'll consider that to be threat, I mean chewing the fat.

Perhaps we can have a latte together?

Remember that today marks FIVE YEARS since we were attacked:

http://www.thememoryhole.org/911/bush-911.htm

We should ALWAYS remember how our President reacted when told that we were under attaack.

*************
Hugh,
I would love to see you approach Ross Smith under the idea that it is me! I double dog dare you to do it.
You need to see a doctor to help get that "hook" out of your mouth! Oh, and while you're there, see if he can help get "Secret Agent Man's" foot out of his own mouth! LOL

Good post Swanks. It really does come down to our own ability and willingness to reason.

Can it, Ross, you're digging your hole deeper.

Stevie D,
Those clowns (Hugh & Secret Agent Man) are so far out on a limb, they'll saw the dang thing off while sitting on it. I hope they do go by Ross Smith's house--being a politician, he'd probably give them some time before he realized they were "nutz".
Did you check out the link above on Bush sitting there for 5 minutes while we were under attack? The Abu Ghraib pictures are also on that sight and if that doesn't make one sick, I don't know what it would take. Seems like we became as bad as the terrorists overnight. Righties will go off on that though, like being barbaric is something to be proud of.

Yeah DD, I have seen those pictures and the Bush film. I imagine most people who sanitize Abu Ghraib as a minor violation have not even seen all the pictures. I would go with barbaric as well.

Hugh,
You are the one digging the hole deeper and deeper and deeper!!! I am not Ross Smith, but if it makes you feel important and smart to think that I am, then go ahead. With all the build up by you and your "Mr. Secret Agent Man", it went over like a turd in a punch bowl! LOL.

"Only the shadow knows...swish swish"....HA!

Who will I be next???? Dave Hoggard, Ross Smith, or Ambassador Joe Wilson....

Hugh, you really should have someone remove the big hook from your mouth. Hey, go have Ross do it! LOL

Stevie, all I did was research the email address MrP. provided. It's quite easy to do with university websites.

DD asked at 2:03 if Ross Smith had a blog. I just Googled deamondeac and up came all the Daily Kos blog posts and the link to Smiths school board candidacy website. Didn't say DD and Smith are one in the same.

Smith's & DD's language are similar however Hugh, for example I noticed the word nutwing in some of Smith's posts, a word DD has used before, but that doesn't provide proof.

Smith's rhetoric is substantially less abrasive, but when you post on Kos you are preaching to the choir, so there would be no need to use the rhetoric we are used to DD posting on this site.

I wonder how many potential Smith voters are aware of his in depth involvement with Kos, hardly a mainstream site.

I don't care who DD is and the last thing I would do is go to his house. If I were a glutton for punishment I wouldn't have divorced my first wife. I do believe however if he were identified the rhetoric would dampen substantially.

Stevie, not hiding boy. You and the ditto dummy make a wonderful pair . Two of a kind. hahahhahahaha

You know stevie boy there were two vote for Marti Sykes as the ditto dummy since they both sound and act a lot alike but the weblink was the clincher.

However it would be funny if the dd was actually a female in drag. ahahahhahahahah
Not to worry, he knows the groups was right on when they sent the info to me to post.

So mrproduce, am I to understand that your last point of debate against DD and I is basically, "Nanny nanny boo boo, I don't like you"? Is that a correct summation?

Whatever you say, Ross.

Dan,
I can't believe you are so obsessed with knowing who I am that you and Produce are searching. What a joke! Hope you both call Ross Smith as that will show you that there are a lot of Wake grads who refer to themselves as Demon Deacons. In fact...that is our mascot! LOLOL!
Let the back pedaling begin....oh, you were just helping Mr. P out! That is funny. You've helped make Produce and Hugh look even dumber than they have appeared---oh, I will now start using "nutwing" instead of "wingnut" so you can think I am Ross Smith.
Look up narcissism as it describes Produce to a tee! You guys are hilarious.

Mr. Produce has made a laughing stock of himself---AGAIN! Only one thing funnier and that is Hugh swallowed the hook!

Hugh, I really think you should visit Ross!

And why all this "SECRET AGENT" sleuthing???

Because they cannot defend their President so they do what Karl Rove does---try to smear the messenger!

They do make me laugh though----who will I be next???

All this evidence gathering reminds me of how the "Bush" team works. Declare something is true, then manipulate the "evidence" to suit your own agenda. Keep saying it is true over and over til some start to think it true, as in swanks example.

News break guys; no one cares who DD is. His identity has no bearing on anything that we care to discuss. Personally I think less of all of you who keep this foolishness going.

"Nanny nanny boo boo, I don't like you"? That could only come from one with a name like STEVIE, What grown man outside of the famous Stevie Wonder goes by a childish name except well.... a childish boy.

Stevie , are you sure you and the ditto dummy aren't twins seperated at birth?

and no Yvonne, you know for a fact that the evidence is not doctored, so why the game.

I have read every word of this lengthy thread because I simply could not stop. Fascinating! It went from janherman’s truly lovely word songs and then bounced back and forth from the sidewalk to the gutter to the side walk to the gutter.

And as for you Mr. Demon Darlin’ I never gave your identity a thought, but if you will permit me to paraphrase Shakespeare: The Deacon doth protest too much, methinks.

You asked about my "take " on the letter. I think I would have to call this one fantasy rather than fact. BB

Mrproduce,

How do you know it's not a childish girl name like Stevie Nicks? Get on it super-sleuths! It’s another mystery for you to solve.

DD,

You would have been able to get by with it, if it weren’t for those meddling kids!

BrendaBee,
I'm not protesting----I'm absolutely howling at these folks who are chasing their tails in search of "The Real Demon Deacon"!

Stevie Dunn,
Now our "History's Mysteries" detective is challenging your virility! You just can't make up stuff as crazy as these cats are. Loved your "Scooby Doo" reference---guess Mr. Produce is skulking around the barn at "old man Jenkins' Place" trying to find out who "STEVIE DUNN" really is...!

ya knw - those Marine leaders are just so full of shit.

Hi all. I'm in DC today and just now catching up. Don't have much to add, but just to be neighborly, I've got some information that might be helpful. I have a degree from WFU (that liberal bastion), and DD is not me. So you can rule me out. That only leaves 30-40,000 others. Good luck in your quest.

Regards,
HG

Howie,
You crack me up! From the looks of things, Mr. Produce, Hugh and Dan are out on yet another "Mystery"! Wonder if they have one of those psychodelic looking vans like Scooby Doo!

Have a good trip.

JDR,
I just read the Washington Post story from the link you gave us. Talk about "peeing" in our faces and telling us it's raining! Looks like all we have heard about how good things are going is a crock of crap!

(We've all had a good laugh, at your friend's expense lately. He is entertaining---but very narcissistic!)

Dan, Phillipa, and all other moralists:
Great article for you. It's from the MSM so you will probably not like it.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14756611/site/newsweek/

DD, Just read the article. I have no problems with it. The Bush administration has allowed itself to be overly concerned with the religious right, and to their detriment. They have been pulling away however after the 'Terry fiasco'. I must say I don't understand why you suggested it to us tho. What are you trying to say here?

BrendaBee,
Philippa and Dan have shown such hypocrisy on "moral" issues, with Phillipa saying the Episcopal Church should have it's tax exempt status removed because in her opinion it is nothing but a social club. Dan holds the exact opinions that the religious right does, but he seems embarrassed by the conotation.
Danforth is a respectable fellow and he has lowered the boom on the GOP for coddling the religious conservatives. Barry Goldwater denounced them during his time---in fact he called Jerry Falwell a "kook". The Schiavo fiasco should have been the last straw, but Rove & Company need the right wing nutjobs to vote for the "R's" in the worst possible way.

BB, this was NOT directed at you, as you are not what I would consider the pious type. Dan is probably stinging from his participation in a "witchhunt" for my identity. Hugh and Mr. Produce round out the "Super Sleuths", who are more like Larry, Moe, and Curley! I'm just hoping and praying that they contact Ross Smith over at Wake--talk about embarrassing themselves!

For the record, I don't believe DD is Ross Smith from Wake Forest. Quite frankly, given DD's posts, it wouldn't be difficult for the right person to get a subpoena that would track her/him to his IP address. Or, if you truly believe DD is Ross Smith, a call to the university would probably start an investigation.

I have no interest in that and consider it a waste of time.

You might want to ask yourself this, however: Why does DD bother you so much that you can't ignore him?

Nit,
I am with you on that. Bravo!

I think Hugh should go ahead and get the University on this as soon as possible! Back when I was there, Alton Hill was Chief of Security, but I don't have a clue who does it now.

Of course THE SUPER SLEUTHS are so sure of my identity, that you and I 'second guessing' them is an affront to their prowess. LOL!

Nit,
I have no clue why Produce, Dan & Hugh are obsessed with my identity, but they remind me of a dog chasing a car--what does he do if he catches it?
For the trio, it's narcissism, plain and simple.

I would watch my back DD. Many of us have connections at the News & Record. You can easily be tracked. A few phone calls to the right people will do the trick.

Nitpicker has the right idea to ignore. DD loves his soapbox.
