Many thanks to the hundreds of Greensboro residents who showed an incredible amount of respect to my recently deceased aunt by stopping your cars as her body, followed by friends and family made it's way to the cemetery.
It was truly heartwarming to know that, although you didn't know what a fine person she was, you took a few seconds out of your busy day to show our family that people still care.
And to the middle-aged man in the dark BMW who laid on his horn as the hearse and the family car passed, in an attempt to "unblock the traffic impeding his importance," I hope that when you or someone you love dies, the people of Greensboro will again show the class that they obviously possess and that you do not.

Glenn,
Call it small minded, but I will not let ANY BMW out of a parking lot onto the street, whereas I will let every other make and model gladly go ahead of me. While I'm sure there is one out there, I have yet to encounter a BMW driver who is worthy of the attention they so crave.

DD, I know you will find this hard to believe and have probably denied it in your soul. But the fact is... you're an anti-BMWite. There's no room for hate. Love all car makes as you would yourself. We can't all be Buicks.

Prag,
My very first "Brand New" car was a four door Buick Century Limited with all the bells and whistles. My friends at work referred to it as my "Ward Cleaver" car. Later, I ventured out into an Audi, but never, mind you, never, a BMW. It is the symbol of all "wannabes" although many who actually have "arrived" do drive them. It's mostly the young, white, male, who is most likely "underhung" but with over inflated ego. Sound like a generalization? Then start thinking of those you know who drive them.
As for the females who drive them, they are being used as "guy magnets" but unfortunately they attract the losers of the losers. (see earlier comments)
Great Nanci Griffith song called, "One Blade Shy of a Sharp Edge" talks of the type--except she has him driving a Mercedes.

As for the letter, good point. This is a ritual that people need to follow, and fewer do every year. Show a little respect.

I was just funnin' you, DD.
My brother used to drive a Porsche. He liked to tell a joke about it: "What's the difference between a Porsche and a porcupine?".
Answer: One has pr*cks on the outside.

Prag,
A friend of mine once told me that Jaguar invented intermittent windshield wipers. They didn't mean to, but they did! Evidently, the Jaguar electrical systems were notorious for foul ups.
