The end for Cheney begins to play out

On April 26, my e-mail brought news I had been eagerly awaiting: Articles of impeachment against Vice President Cheney have finally been introduced by Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, in the House of Representatives. With his abysmal approval ratings, hypocrisies and steering the country in the wrong direction for six years, Cheney's doom seems sealed.

As this basic constitutional principle plays out, it could turn out to be the political fight of the decade. I expect the News & Record to cover the impeachment debate in detail on the front page. What could be more relevant to the American people than a struggle between the executive and legislative branches of government?

I hope Cheney can read the writing all over the walls and save us the torture of a long, drawn-out proceeding by resigning. President Bush should follow suit so this country can begin healing from the terrible wounds they have inflicted.

I think Cheney is honestly doing what he thinks is best for America .. he's just NUTS.

"On April 26, my e-mail brought news I had been eagerly awaiting"...

Those moveon.org e-mail alerts are handy, huh Valarie? Keeps the blood flowing.

Valerie,

I think that I can safely say that you are a total loon. Anyone that takes Dennis the Menace seriously has some serious issues of their own. His one redeeming quality is that he is consistent in his radical political philosopy.

To impeach a government official, one must have evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors. We don't run the country by approval ratings, Valerie, nor do we impeach someone based upon them.

The News-Record is getting loony as well these days publishing letters such as this.

Not as loony as you Oak Ridge, It's pretty clear and would be even more so if there level of scrutiny were higher that this administration is a lawless and deceitful one that does what it want's when it wants, including trampling the constitution. Impeachment is a non-starter, not because of a lack of potentially impeachable offenses, but rather due to a congress that would not pursue it do to the percentage of republican members who would not abandon their party. In addition, it would also take months and months of attention away from other pressing needs this country has. We will most likely have to suffer wit hthe worst administration in the history of our country until the next election.

As I've stated in prior threads, I'm against impeachment for these buffoons because of the damage that it would do to the country. We must do what we can do to limit the damage that they do. The Republicans didn't care about what they did to the country in the '90s when they impeached President Clinton. They damaged our country in a reckless grab for power. I hope the Democrats care more for America good than their partys. We need them to be better than the Republicans.

"We will most likely have to suffer wih the worst administration in the history of our country until the next election."

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....

I had to read that sentence five times, because each time I read it, I wasn't sure that I was sure of the writers' thoughts
It will be indeed writ in history as the worst administration (until the next election, when an even worse administration is in office).

Ellis,
That IS hilarious--but not likely true. From the looks of things, even Kucinich (never thought I'd say this) looks better than what we have now!

This will, no doubt, go down as one of the worst, if not THE worst administrations on record. Sad thing is, it did not have to be this way. The operative word is H-U-B-R-I-S.

(our "little Kitty" may have to look that one up in his Disney Dictionary)

For far too many reasons (some mentioned above), I am totally against any impeachment proceedings against the Crawford Clown and his Wyoming Wacko sidekick.

America needs to rise above the sludge of the past 6-7 years and prove that as a whole, we the people are better than why the election results were in 2000 & 2004!

Shalom

Ellis,

President Jessie Jackson couldn't top this Clown (and his speeches would be a lot more fun) though to be fair Bush had tremendous help from a MIA congress to goober stuff up as badly as he has.

Talking about awful Presidents this reminds me of how awful President Clintons Presidency was viewed at the time. I'm reminded of The Onions headline when he left the presidency where his term was viewed as a nightmare.

Our Long National Nightmare of Peace and Prosperity is Finally over!

How right they were!

Once again, I see I'm the object of the Wuss' attention. Not very fertile ground there to be sure, but it is what it is.
I looked up this lil Canadian wannabee wuss:

Have you made book on Dr. Phil yet?

i love the internet. who is valerie putney?? a unitarian universalist??? save for its mention of jewish and christian roots, the uucg website doesn't even mention god. what was the book? godless?? intentional? no doubt.
your liberal future stares you in the face and you can't even see it.

An Intentional Liberal Religious Community since 1951…

"An Intentional Liberal Religious Community since 1951."

Was that slogan written in 1951 - or othersise before the word "liberal" was re-defined as "a bad thing"?

Poor "little Kitty"...she just can't relax. MEOW! LOL!

Nothing to say, Canadian Wussy? cRock-o-...feller hasn't posted any material to parrot lately, huh? :]

Let's all review where the term "canadian wussy" originated from. Don't want to confuse the folks who may be tuning in for the first time. :]

Ned,
This is a great letter and I share your thoughts. As I contemplate another international trip with my family, I am even more disturbed at our standing in the world. While visiting London and France, we sewed Canadian flag patches to our backpacks---it saved us from the ire of many and we met many new friends through that act. I only wish we did not have to do that again.
Thanks again for your letter.

Sometimes that cut n' paste can be a real pain in the ass, huh wussy?

Poor "little kitty". No one pays you any attention.....want some milk? MEOW!!!

"No one pays you any attention"

Wussy,
That's odd. You seem obsessed with showering me with attention. In fact that all you seem to do...wait on me to make an observance, then come on with the flirting. I'm truly flattered by your obsession, but again, you are not my type. Although - as we all know - you lack the defining male trait, it would never work. I demand SOME degree of mental well being in my female friends. Someone who is capable of traveling amongst those rowdy frenchies as an American. :]

BTW, you keep dodging my questions. That being: What did the children say when you told them you were going to sew the Canadian patches on their backpacks?
Were they not the least bit curious? What about the wife/partner? Did she question why...or has this type of behavior become the norm and she knew what she was getting when she signed on?

Had my Dad (rest his soul) ever requested such an act to me and my sibs, we would have hung our heads in shame. Fortunately for us, he was a proud American...Even when the welfare sugar daddy LBJ was in office he would have taken a horse whipping before he committed such an act of cowardice, even when traveling alone, never mind in front of his family.

These are hard questions, no doubt. And I don't look for an answer from you. Instead, I look for more flirting and witty remarks. I look for more buffoonish "LOLs".

But then...deep down...deep...deep...deep down inside where only the world traveler goes, we already know the answers, don't we?...

"Meow"
Oh, there you are little kitty. Good little kitty.

Yeah, wussy. Here I am. And here I'll be from now on...or until you and your "partner", sweet pea, manage to get me booted off. That'd be nice, no?

That's what I expected from a mentally deprived coward.

Anything to keep from answering those hard questions about your moral fiber, eh wussy? :]

Keep looking deep. There is the answer.

Here little Kitty! Good little Kitty!

:)
