Former auto dealership presents an eyesore today

When are the property owners of the former North State Chevrolet auto dealership going to clean up the property? It is an eyesore. No class.

This is the kinda thing I'm always railing over.

Some will say - why should they clean it up? There's no law requiring it and market forces fix all evils. If "the people" really objected, they would no longer buy from them.

Of course by not cleaning up, they save money which they may use to offer car prices lower than the dealer who does clean up his mess, then we'll see how far goes the peoples commitment.

Also and similar - what if they spilled oil or have burried gas tanks on site - the next buyer of the property has the bill to clean it up.

I guess I'm too much a boy scout - but in a small community these good things would happen - but multiple this little even by a the clout EEEVVIILLLLL corporations manifest .. and maybe you'll see the point.

Maybe Roy Carroll will buy the property and build another overpriced/overrated elitist community on the old North State property.

Roy, are you listening?

Shalom

Isn't this the site of the proposed Bellmeade Village? Or is that defunct now?
