I am proud to say that I work for McDonalds, which provides Happy Meals for everyone in this community--a claim Moses Cone Health System could never make.
This one wins the award for most nonsensical letter of the day.

True, BCBS doesn't serve everyone in this community. Why? Because clients have a CHOICE in who they use for health insurance. Here in Greensboro, we have no choice locally for hospital care because MCHS owns all three major hospitals. They basically have a monopoly, and there is no competition to keep their fees in check!
Brian, I agree with you totally. This letter was a waste of ink, but your reply is priceless!

"I am proud to say that I am part of the Moses Cone Health System, which provides care to everyone in this community..."
I think what he meant to say was... everyone except those without insurance... right?

Actually, I think perhaps it's review time, and he's pushing for a raise!

So if Moses Cone provides care to everyone in the community !!!
THEN
1) How come I have to show my insurance card before I get care?
2) How come I get billed?
3) How come, if some one is tardy in paying a bill, they get a note saying that their account bill)may be turned over to "....."
4) How come my insurance rates go up every year?
Moses Cone and BSBC are in the business of making money; I can deal with that--but where does the consumer come into play? Alot of people don't have insurance and alot of people are suffering "without". Even the few lucky who are able to be served in an emergency room---they don't have the money to buy the medicine.
By the bye, I hope the issue never becomes "What about the Quality Of Care". That would be terrible.
