If the shoe fits dept.
A reminder: I and I alone am responsible for the contents of this blog. No one, likely to John Robinson's occasional regret, edits me except for me, and God ain't the only one who knows I'm not perfect.
Accordingly, if you have a complaint about the contents, take it up with me: Hit the "comment" link below the appropriate post, or e-mail me. Leave my co-workers out of it. Of course, if, after communicating with me, you're still unsatisfied, you're free to communicate with my bosses, but the buck starts here.
We now return you to the usual inanity.

Do certain members of the City Council not like haiku? or... did the FCC complain?

The former. Apparently they mistook my criticism of their idea of what the N&R's role in the community should be for criticism of them personally. (It's a subtle distinction, in this age of trash-talking, but some of us still engage with ideas rather than personalities, at least some of the time.)
So, naturally, they took it out on someone who had nothing to do with it in a forum where they knew he was forbidden by the ethics of the job from responding appropriately.
Rather than say what I think of that kind of behavior, which might make it more difficult for my colleagues to do their jobs, I'll simply quote Hunter S. Thompson: Res ipsa loquitur.
The FCC, on the other hand, sent an e-mail expressing admiration for my artistry.

Yeah, I got a complaint: You could be spending all your time complaining about me....
Seriously, I saw the Rhino story today and had to wonder if Hammer has quit using his medications again.
