I am 66 years old and I cancelled my 15 year subscription to the San Jose Mercury News (Knight-Ridder), because the news had, for all practical purposes dissapeared, and all the articles were really editorial opinion, and biased left-wing opinion at that.
Now, after I cancelled the subscription I got a polite call from a SJMN executive who wanted to better understand my motive, and, I told him his paper's liberal bias and distortions of the news, and more recently, the invective and pure hate of our President and our capitalist system made it clear that the paper did not care for the Conservative reader's business, or perhaps they thought they were proselytizers to the Liberal persuasion. So, I told him he had walked away from over 50% of the market, and his paper was just so irresponsible and inaccurate that I could no longer stand to have it in my home.
He then offered me a cut rate deal, and I told him that, at his cut rate price, his paper did not compete with Scotties toilet paper, and the Scotties was printed on much softer and more suitable paper stock.
He was not amused. But, I read on-line news, blogs and I don't miss the daily lies and distortions.
Or, perhaps you had not noticed how bad it has become.

Actually, Mr. Lemay, I know exactly how bad it has become.
I blame it on the bunny suits.
