Belated New Year's Prediction: Dan Rather will announce tomorrow that he has documentary proof that E does not equal MC squared. He will be denounced as anti-Semitic by the NY Times and fired by CBS. The Crawford, Texas newspaper will give him a second career as Editor Emeritus and everything will return to normal.

Meetup is tomorrow; Roch invited me to teh 6:00 editorial thing. Wonder if we'll actually address any / all of the issues reverberating around the blogsphere. Ya think?

Ida know, Sue. Funny thing: JR was invited to the Harvard blogger thing, couldn't go, and asked me if I'd like to go if they'd take me as a substitute. Turns out they didn't want me, which, between the weather prediction and the stinkstorm that that event already has become, makes me think I probably dodged a pretty good-sized bullet.

Agreed on the stinksorm.
I'll be reading accounts of it with the same motivation of someone who just has to tour the scene of a train wreck.
Then again, I might just turn my head and keep walking.

Sorry, my contract seer now has changed her mind . It will be Ron Burgundy and not Dan. Apparently something worse may be in store for Rather. Stay tuned.
