TRC Report-update
My colleague Margaret Banks just called to say that distribution of the Greensboro Truth & Reconciliation Commission report, initially scheduled for early in the 6 p.m. ceremony this evening, has now been bumped back to 7:30. She says they have copies of the executive summary out on a table, but the table is being guarded so no one can get a copy.
I am not making this up.
For the record, as of right this minute (6:03 p.m.), there's nothing new up on the commission's Web site.
Stay tuned for updates.
UPDATE: Full report now up on GTRC's Web site. We've got a story up on our home page. Although the timestamp on it is stuck at 7:37 p.m., it is being updated regularly.
UPDATE: I'll be analyzing the full report starting in the morning -- and blogging on whatever I find as I read. Y'all come.

Chill out Margaret. I just returned from the ceremony with my copy of the executive summary. I even laid my hands on a copy of the full report, which has, as promised, been posted online:

Why hasn't Margaret Banks posted her article yet? It's after midnight already!! What is she waiting on? Does she expect me to wait until tomorrow when the paper is actually printed?
I'll bet she meets secretly with editors who tell her what to say. Who are they and why are they afraid to write their own articles or let a reporter without an agenda have a crack at it? Sounds fishy.
It's ten minutes later and still nothing. No fooling. Can you believe it?

Her article went up at 7:37 p.m. (and was updated frequently thereafter until about 11:30 p.m.); I linked to it up in the body of this post. The only person talking to or meeting with her before/as she wrote was me, and I don't tell Margaret what to write. In fact, I'm kind of afraid of her.
