Well, THIS is different
Guess who's blogging now?
Mahmood Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran. (Click on the hybrid U.S/British flag icon in the upper right corner for the English version.) And he's got an RSS feed and everything.
Now it's not like many other Iranians can blog, but this is pretty interesting.
Except he goes into all this whiny detail about his boyhood. Not so interesting.
(There's also a president's blog at www.president.ir [or, in English, www.president.ir/eng], but it reads as if written by an aide or press ecretary and describes the president's actions in the third person.)
I guess we'll see where this goes.
Or, while we're waiting, should we have a contest to see who can submit the best fake blog post for the Ahmadinejad blog?
Why, yes, I think we should ....

I think it's great that Ahmadinejad has an email address where you can send your comments, suggestions, and advice.
I sent a "greeting" to the Prez/Hitler earlier today. I'm sure he'll appreciate it.

Why would you do that? If this guy is half as evil as we're told, you KNOW he's got a world-class spamming operation going on in the back room. :-)

Actually, I'm more worried now about a Katyusha attack on my house from Iran/Syria/Hezbollah than spam from the same places. :-)

Yeah, Russia is still the 800-pound gorilla where spam is concerned. :-)

From Wonkette,
You presumably saw yesterday’s post on Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s new blog. Maybe you clicked through and read his first post. If you are in Israel and using Internet Explorer, you should not have done this.
Because, as O’Reilly reports (the computer O’Reilly, not the sexual harassing one), the site sends a virus (or trojan) to visitors with Israeli IP addresses. Fiendishly clever, Ahmadinejad! America bows to your superior cunning — we know now that you will not rest until your diabolical dreams are realized — Jews across the world will switch to Linux or face the terrifying consequences!
O'Reilly link here.

So when I said Ahmadinejad had a world-class spamming operation in the back room, I wasn't totally and completely off-base, huh?

So, Lex, you're agreeing with Bill O'Reilly??
Lordy, let me go out and buy a lottery ticket...finding this gem indicates an extraordinarily lucky day!

What, did Bill O'Reilly also accuse Ahmadinejad of running a world-class spamming operation?
And, most importantly, did he credit The Lex Files for this scoop? :-)
