Just some ranting on music:
- Britney Spears has a reality show, and apparently people actually watched it.
- Apparently, no one cares that to most people, 50 Cent's lyrics, "I'll let you lick the lollipop" are more offensive than Janet Jackson's right breast.
- Apparently, Gwen Stefani singing "If I were a rich girl" (to the tune from "Fiddler on the Roof") when she actually is a rich girl, is somehow cool.
- Apparently, blasting your car stereo at 120db on the highway so that everyone can hear you listening to Huey Lewis and the News is entertaining. (Actually, in some ways, it is.)
- Apparently, MTV has just started its 100th station - this one based in Africa. It makes me wonder how many of them actually play music.
- Apparently, I don't mind that the new System of a Down album is only 36 minutes, because it's pretty intense.
- Apparently, American Idol contestant Bo Bice doesn't need a band, because his a capella singing was downright impressive and better than half of the singers out there today.
- Apparently, I once saw Whitesnake in concert, but I am not willing to confirm or deny those rumors.
- Apparently, I went to school with Jon Bon Jovi's little brother. It's true, and the girls loved when Jon would pick him up in his Porsche.
- Apparently, I've run out of ideas about today's music.
