The annual Pig-Pickin show is this weekend at Ziggy's. If you're a rockabilly fan, head on over there, cause it's got a heck of a lineup including Greensboro's The Tremors.
And hey, it's only $7!
Juliette rocks
I got an advance copy of the new Juliette And the Licks album in the mail, and boy, was I shocked.
There's been a big buzz about this band that features Juliette Lewis as the singer.
I thought, "Sure, just another actress trying to be a singer." But this is good stuff. Stay tuned this weekend for a review of the album.
The Melon boys
Ever wonder what happened to some of the guys from Blind Melon. Well, two of them produced and are part of the band on the new album by Anna Nalick.
It's a good pop album with a female vocalist that lands somewhere in the neighborhood of Jewel.
Maybe I'll review that one too.
Ozzfest hits the Triad, kind of
The boys in Curse Your Name, formerly Cynder, that were featured on MTV's "Battle for Ozzfest" have a bunch of dates scheduled for the Triad area.
Check out the low-fi version of their Web site for more info on where they're playing.
