System of a Down was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live this past weekend, and for anyone who watched their performance (their first of the night), they may have noticed a censorship slip-up.
SOAD performed their latest single "B.Y.O.B." which includes a few "f-bombs" throughout the song - five to be exact.
Guitarist Daron Malakian decided to throw in an extra one for good measure, and the censors never saw it coming.
It was one of those moments when I thought to myself, "Did I hear what I think I just heard?"
Of course, it's not as big of a scandal as Janet Jackson's breast being exposed (pardon any puns), but I'm sure it was big to the FCC.
In my opinion - it's around midnight on a Saturday that this happened. If kids aren't in bed, shouldn't we be asking the parents why, instead of blaming a rock band for a word?
Chesney gets married
I read the headline of Renee Zellweger getting married and quickly assumed it was to Jack White of The White Stripes.
Wrong! But thank you for playing.
The Oscar-winning actress married Kenny Chesney, whom she met in January.
Actress marries rock star after four months of dating. Yeah, that has "successful marriage" written all over it, doesn't it?

I'm sure the FCC won't like it, but I'm not sure there is anything they can do about it. The word came out during "safe harbor" or the hours between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. FCC rules allow the broadcast of indecent material during those times.
I'm surprised as many people are making as big a deal out of it as they are. I guess System of a Down gets a little extra publicity.
I think the networks stay away from obscenities to avoid offending too many people and to keep the FCC from taking that away. Those are just my thoughts.
