« This week's new releases | Main | Did you miss Tommy, too?; New album »

Ozzfest; Ministry; Fiona Apple

Ozzy Osbourne has stated that he will no longer headline Ozzfest after this year's tour, saying the tour is established and it's time for him to move on to new things.

Um, hello? It's called Ozzfest. People go to see Ozzy.

Ministry's new album
Al Jourgenson and the boys of Ministry are heading back out on the road, and they're releasing a new album, too.

The band's new album, "Rantology," will be a "greatest hits" kind of album with remixed and live songs.

Fiona's new album
As I mentioned here a while back, there was a stirring controversy over the third Fiona Apple album.

Apparently, the people at Epic Records held off from releasing it because "there wasn't a single."

Then the album made its way around the internet having fans call the album great, etc.

Now, the album will finally see the light of day (in record stores), but it's going to be reworked.

The new version of the album is expected Oct. 4.

I heard the first version, and it's already good.

A preview of a couple tracks can be found at Fiona Apple's Web site.

Coming Soon

I'm sad to say the Musical Garbage Can will be leaving GoTriad on or about March 23. It will go back to its original home at Blogspot here. Thank you for your continued support!
