Rockstar: INXS update

Here's a quick rundown of last night's Rockstar: INXS.

You know, this show has gotten bad reviews, but I don't know why. It sure is better than American Idol.

Suzie: She sang her own version of "Losing My Religion" and it was awesome.

Mig: Sang "All Right Now" and I wasn't impressed. However, he's probably one of the best fits for INXS.

J.D.: Sang "Crazy" by Seal, and I still don't know how this guy is still on the show.

Jessica: "Come as you Are" shouldn't be sung with a Southern accent. I'd guess she's on her way out.

Jordis: She can do no wrong, even when singing "Layla." Not her best performance, but she's definitely the best singer on the show. Still not sure if she'd fit in to INXS.

Brandon: Finally, I liked his performance. "It's All Over Now" came out more like the Black Crowes than the Rolling Stones, but it was well done.

Marty: "Mr. Brightside" is one of the worst songs on the radio these days. But Marty ripped an acoustic solo performance.

Deanna: I'll admit that I missed her performance, so I won't comment. But reviews online said it was pretty good.

Ty: "No Woman No Cry" wasn't that great. I think he's the one singer that started really strong and has gone down hill every week since.

Find out who gets booted tonight....

J.D. gets some of the biggest screams when he's onstage. When he's bad, he's horrible, but when he's good, he's one of the most charismatic (and hottest) people in the competition. Which might be what they are going for.

I love Jordis, but she needs to head her own band, not join INXS.

The only others worth watching are Mig and Ty (who I think has been one of the most consistent singers, along with Jordis).

Marty scares me. A little too intense. But he didn't ruin Nirvana, so I'm OK with that.

Coming Soon

I'm sad to say the Musical Garbage Can will be leaving GoTriad on or about March 23. It will go back to its original home at Blogspot here. Thank you for your continued support!
