Here's a quick look at some of the new releases for this week:
3 Doors Down "Away from the Sun" (DualDisc) - They're playing the Weenie Roast, in case you didn't already know. This is their album from 2002, in a new format.
Staind "Chapter V" - Another band for the "Weenie" in Charlotte. All of their songs are starting to sound the same though, so maybe you already have this album.
Juliana Hatfield "Made in China" - She's a great singer, but hasn't been the same in years. I guess a solo album means the Blake Babies reunion didn't last?
Hootie & The Blowfish "Looking for Lucky" - I wonder if that Burger King tune is on here? .....tender crisp bacon cheddar ranch....hmmm, hmmm, hhmmmmmm.....
Tommy Lee "Tommyland" - It's really strange to hear his first single on the pop music radio stations instead of the alternative ones. It's like he's the male Paris Hilton....
Stephen Stills "Man Alive" - If your album features Neil Young and Graham Nash as guests, is it really a solo album? Where's David Crosby?
Suicide Machines "War Profiteering is Killing Us All" - It's 14 anti-war songs in about 30 minutes. Hardcore, punk and ska... Look for an album review here this week.
What would this entry be without the list of animal bands?: 3 Fox Drive, Hootie and the Blowfish, Minotaur Shock, Mouse on Mars
