Benefit concerts planned for TV
Green Day, Alicia Keys, Rob Thomas and others will join up for a telethon to be shown on MTV, CMT and VH1 on Sept. 10.
NBC will have a telethon Friday night featuring Gulf coast natives Harry Connick Jr., Tim McGraw and Wynton Marsalis.
The end of CBGB?
Last month, a court ruled that the famous club CBGB can't be evicted due to bookkeeping errors.
However, the landlord now says he has no plans to renew the lease and the club needs to be gone by midnight tonight.
What a sad turn of events. Hopefully, the club can find a new home in the city.
