Simonstock cancelled

98.7 has officially cancelled Simonstock.

They say it was beyond their control...

My guess would be poor ticket sales because no one wanted to pay to see William Hung, but that is not proven in any way.

Information about refunds can be found online. They are also continuing the Battle of the Bands that was scheduled for this weekend.

More info can also be found online.

Comments

98.7 has let go of the entire air staff (twice) in two years, changed the format, changed the name of the station to the flashy "Simon" and then play the crazy crap no one wants to hear... Then they try to sell a concert with William Hung and Tone Loc?

Classic. Comedy Gold.

Is this a big suprise to anyone? The radio station is in complete shambles. The morning show is boring. The music format is awful. Whoever is in charge at 98.7 just does not have a clue how to run a radio station.

Coming Soon

I'm sad to say the Musical Garbage Can will be leaving GoTriad on or about March 23. It will go back to its original home at Blogspot here. Thank you for your continued support!
